The Royal George Hotel, hotel in Perth

This hotel is beside the River Tay, a minute from Perth Museum and Horsecross Concert Hall. Rooms are en suite and many have views of the river and the hotel's award-winning gardens.

The room was lovely and clean, as was the hotel on the whole, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice and there were options for myself as a vegetarian, although it was essentially just cereal/granola and toast but I was content with that. The location was perfect for what I needed. Parking was available.

Perth used to be the capital of Scotland and has obviously been a very wealthy city. I would have loved to have seen it then. Unfortunately it is now much like many cities and very run down. Most things in Scotland are beautiful and I was really looking forward to Perth but found that the surrounding areas were much better than the City centre. So sorry as I would have loved to have said it was great. Glasgow and Edinburgh are obviously big vibrant cities and I expected Perth to just have a little of this.

We were too early in the year for a number of attractions unfortunately. Come after the end of March. However, the Black Watch Museum was excellent especially if in to military history. You can have a guided tour which is very very informative, excellent in fact. The restaurant, Kisas, was very good.

    A small/compact City.

A small/compact City. Historic and the New Museum is fantastic. There are many independent shops as well as the shopping centre. Plenty of good eateries and coffee shops. well placed for walking or cycling the river has footpaths along it and is well maintained. A lively theatre/live event scene too.

The room is simple but huge, clean and comfortable, with good sitting area where we could relax ourselves after a long journey. The beds are comfortable. Bathroom is new and big. Shower is good. Kettle, Coffee, tea are all provided inside the room. Very good price. Simple breakfast but enough. Friendly staff. Easy check-in / check-out The hostel located in a queit area, could sleep very well in the night. Only a short drive from Perth. The best hostel we had stayed during our 15 days vacation in Scotland.

We enjoyed our first night at the Grampian Hotel so much, we decided to stay an extra 2 nights. The staff by far made our experience exceptional. Their customer service was above and beyond! The hotel is reasonably priced, and the rooms were very clean with nice, functional layouts. The location is also very good! It's about a 5 minute walk to Perth train station, and right down the street from the downtown shopping area. And even with that great location, we still found it nice and quiet.

From the moment we arrived in the car park till the moment we left the building we had a truly fabulous stay - indeed we firmly believe it was the best Guesthouse we have ever experienced. Our apartment was most beautifully appointed and equipped, the bed extremely comfortable, the breakfast cooked and presented by our host David was sublime ( and highly entertaining!) - what personal and presentation skills he possesses. it was the highlight of a lovely week we had in Scotland.

Sam is a fantastic host who went the extra mile to make sure we got the most out of our overnight stay in Perth. Sam recommended some places to eat in the city and places to go if we wanted to have a little walk around. The breakfast we had was one of the best myself and partner have had during our road trip around Scotland with the personal touch of a fruit salad starter and fresh baked bread. If we ever stay in Perth again we will be looking to stay here again.

Although I travelled to Perth with friends I could not get booked into the same hotel as them. The hotel is situated in a perfectly central location for all ameneties. The decor in my room was lovely (albeit the furniture was a little dated but in great condition). The room and all other areas of the hotel were very clean and the breakfast was amazing. I would defintitely go back there to stay. MM - Wishaw, Scotland

A lovely hotel just outside Perth with a short drive into the city. The service was very good; well trained, friendly and professional staff. Food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. There are a few areas to sit around and relax and the bar was well stocked and cosy. The beds were comfortable and the room had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Plenty of parking near the front door.

Recently stayed here for 6 days on a work trip. Very cheap, clean and tidy. Get more from it over a hotel room as you have access to a kitchen/social room. Can wine and done yourself and use the free wifi. Well situated with a tesco and Asda in close proximity for the essentials (cider). At the end of the day it is student accommodation so dont expect 5 stars. but it served me well.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was lovely, rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfortable. Complimentary hot drinks were available in the bar area, along with facilities in the room. Breakfast was well set out offering a good choice. It was close to one of perths busiest roads but we could not hear any of the traffic from our room. I would happily stay again.

The views around the cottage are amazing. Very easy check-in and Norma was very happy to help with anything although we had everything we needed. It's about a 30 min walk to Perth going over a really nice island in the middle of the river. The garden was very nicely kept as well as the house to enjoy the country air.
