For the city in general, more English speaking would be better for the city, but it’s understandable why they wouldn’t speak as much English compared to other cities. Regardless I really enjoyed my stay and people were friendly and good hearted in general, I recommend anyone to take a visit when possible.
It’s very simple to get around via public transport. The food is good and there is a lot to choose from.

The city was bigger than expected with a lot to do. The Palace was a museum/gallery rather than a traditional palace and I would highly recommend climbing the tower stairs! Lots of other museums, churches and gardens etc or there are loads of places for shopping.

There's a youthful college-town vibe to the cafes and bars downtown; the city is flat so it's easy to walk everywhere, the Natural History Museum is not to be missed if you like that sort of thing, public transport is better than most, very good restaurant scene

It is in a beautiful location in the Schwarzwald.
It is in a beautiful location in the Schwarzwald. The hotel is in a quiet location though a five or so minute walk from the hauptbahnhof. If zoos are your thing there is one literally across the street. The location is well connected with busses, trams, and trains. You can see so many surrounding towns this way. Either get a land ticket (regional trains) or a day ticket (bus and trams).
I would visit again Karlsruhe again.

Karlsruhe is a modern city with a Palace which is now a good museum. The grounds are lovely as are the gardens at the zoo. Karlsruhe is a good place to stay for day trips to Baden Baden and Heidleberg.x
The hotel is located in the city centre close to restaurants, public transportation, nice neighbourhood. Parking available on the street, however in a limited amount or times. The hotel provides, yet for a surcharge, garage parking, which we used and found it very convenient. The room is clean and cozy. Breakfast with a much wider variety as one would expect given the rather simple/spartan visual impression of the building itself.
The ANA Eden is a very nice, comfortable hotel. Staff were generally very helpful and cooperative and reception willingly agreed to print some documents for me without charge. My room was pleasant but a rather curious shape with a thin corridor running along the window side. In the heat wave from which Germany was suffering at the time the air conditioning worked well - almost too well! Good, strong (free) wifi.
We booked a family room. It was so spacious. Never seen one this big as here. The room and the hotel are spotless clean (btw the most clean hotels I have seen in my life are usualy in Germany). The beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Breakfast had enough choices available. The area is very, very quiet. We had a great stay.
The hosts are very hospitable, it can be felt by the amount of small things prepared - cleanliness, well laid out things, coffee capsules, tea, laundry detergent, etc. The owner also provided a cot for our four-year-old daughter. We were driving through Germany to France and this place turned out to be very good for an overnight stay.
Good location, close to motorway but still in a quiet neighbourhood (over weekend). Room was basic and rather small as in every Ibis budget but sufficient. Breakfast was good and worth the paying for. We were happy we could stay there with our dog and that there is enough of green space around the hotel for a good walk.
Everything was easy to understand via the directions sent by WhatsApp! Great room, amazing buffet breakfast & a lovely quiet area. Luckily parking was available & easy to get into. No staff on after 12 as we arrived on Sunday but the staff checking out were lovely. We will now make this hotel our regular stop off now!
This is the second time we stay here and this hotel never disappoints. The room was nice, comfortable, and as it was during the week, we could park the car in the free spots within the hotel premises. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was nice.
Very comfortable room, excellent bed, close to train station, very friendly staff. Parking tip....
a few spots in front of hotel without charge, or large public parking lot directly across the street for 6 Euros per day.
Location is grand, especially if you travel by rail. Service was good. Room was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly. We will come back any time if we travel in Germany. We had stayed at this hotel before in 2019.
Schlosshotel has a lot of architectural style.
The staff is very helpful.
We did not expect that, but we had a nice view on the lemurians at the zoo in front.
Quality products at breakfast.
Men at the reception was very nice et professionnals. Parking inside the hotel is very practical. Nice breakfast buffet. The rooms was clean and the bedding was good.
