Amazing location about a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 15-minute walk from downtown Luzerne. The neighborhood is very nice and has tons of food and grocery stores nearby. The room was nice and had a fully functioning kitchen. Nice, comfy bed, clean space. Check-in was easy and plenty of instruction was sent beforehand.

Ameron hotel was great - it was clean and the room was comfortable. The location was fantastic - you could almost walk everywhere in the old town and just 5 mins from the train station and chapel bridge. Very convenient, and highly recommended esp for those thinking of visiting Rigi, Pilatus or Titlis. Go to these mountains early to avoid the crowd.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city. Local people are very friendly for the lost and wandering tourist. If you’re into luxury shops, ornately decorated buildings and atmosphere, Luzern has it all. Fine dining restaurants but you can eat cheaper in a lot of smaller establishments. Close to the Pilatus, Titlis, Vierwaldstaettersee and those picturesque wooden bridges over the Reuss.

Lucern is one of the most beautiful city in Switzerland. Occasionally we stayed there during a Carnival (Luzern Fastnacht) . We enjoyed the show. The city itself is amazing. If you visit Lucern , don’t forget to visit also the Verkehrshaus.

We were weighing up whether to stay in Lucerne or Zurich and were so pleased that we chose Lucerne. The old town is beautiful, very safe and spotlessly clean. The train station is very central and the boats for the lake cruises are really easy to access. It was like being in a postcard picture with beautiful views everywhere. We found both the accommodation and food better value for money in Lucerne and would definitely recommend it for a 2-3 night stay.
This is one of the cooler, more unique hotels I've stayed at in a long time. There is a lot of history and charm inside the rooms, and each one is a little bit different. There are a lot of nice design touches that make you want to spend as much time in the rooms as possible. It's also very central to Lucerne with a little cafe on the first floor. It's self-check and no front desk, but I did find generally speaking the team was responsive through Booking.com and the staff in the adjoining cafe are there to support you as well.
En suite for every room
Self service lockers for your belongings after check out (note you need 2 CHF coin which i didn't have so couldn't actually lock my stuff away)
Fairly large kitchen available
Very convenient location if you want to do mt pilatus.
Free lucerne visitor card (although i think you receive this with any hostel/hotel in lucerne).
Personal locker with functioning lock and key in room big enough for my backpack (40L).
Provided a towel (note not a full size towel - only a small hand towel)
View View View .... If you woke up and opened the window and get to see the view daily, This is the place to go. A serene home run hotel/restaurant tucked in hills of lucerne away from city.
For a family run restaurant the Breakfast was great. Staff was great .. Joshua the owner is cool.
Kids will love the place, small but good play area. Pet friendly... kids loved the hotel cat!!!
Just sit and relax the view!!!!
The room was very comfortable to stay in. We stayed in a single bedroom for two people. The location is at a walkable distance from the bus stop which makes it very convenient.
The room was spacious and well equipped. The price was reasonable too. And the staff were really sweet and cooperative. 10/10 a very good hotel to stay when in Lucerne.
This was a very nice hotel and a convenient location to stay in Lucerne. The breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English. Some of the rooms are decorated with funky decor and the tiles in the bathroom were fun too. Everything in Switzerland is expensive, so the price is reasonable for Switzerland.
Everything was outstanding, staff, rooms, view, and the location.
this was my second time staying in the hotel and definitely will be our only choice if we visit Lucerne again.
i want to thank all the management members of this property and also wanted to thank all staff members for their professionalism and warm hospitality.
Clean and stylish accommodation. Check-in is self-service but very efficient and help was on hand over the phone or at the nearby associated hotel. Free minibar, snacks and use of kitchen facilities and garden. Lovely 20 minute walk into Lucerne by the beautiful lakeside. Parking available opposite at reasonable daily rate.
Great location right at the lake. I traveled from the Lucerne train station to the hotel by bus, and it was very easy. The building is vintage, but the room was very clean. Its restaurant has a fantastic view, and the old elevator was fun to ride (although small space). Overall, it's worth its price.
The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. The nicest we have met in Europe so far. The hotel is very charming, and beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The room was large. Free Bus pass with the room, as well as access to Lucerne WiFi. The bathrooms were clean and there were several available.
Nothing. The hotel was overbooked and so we were offered a room at another hotel. We accepted as it was an upgrade to 4*.
If you are offered the same, then decline. The Grand European hotel in Lucerne is anything but grand. Dated, tired decor, overpriced food and drink. Parking was €25.
The hotel was located in the heart of Lucerne, yet we enjoyed quiet, peaceful nights there. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions about touring the city. The breakfast was so, so yummy. Everything was fresh, delicious, filling, and thoughtfully presented.
The hotel is beautiful and the entire staff was fantastic. My room was larger than I expected and had a balcony with an incredible view of the lake and Alps. The location is great for exploring Lucerne and also close to the train and boat station for day trips.
The room was very clean including all linen, check-in process was easy and bag storage was super convenient after check out. The highlight of this hotel is its walkable distance to Lucerne city centre/supermarkets etc. Good for a short stay!
Well located, there are a lot to explore. The price per night is reasonable considering the extravagant prices in Switzerland. Still one extraordinary experience. We will definitely go back. The hotel has a very interesting history.
This hotel is nicely located in the center of Old Town and an easy walk from the train station. The reception staff is friendly, and breakfast is good although expensive like everything in
Lucerne.
Ambience was old and awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful . Provided 4 days free pass for bus travel from hotel to lucerne station. If u like European style stay highly recommended.
Great hotel. Location was wonderful. Close to everything in Lucerne. Good breakfast included with the room. Rooms very modern and clean. Would definitely stay here again
Very convenient for touring Old Town Lucerne. Convenient, but expensive parking next door in a covered garage.
It’s a downtown, big city hotel that was convenient.
Good quality-price ratio, being Switzerland always expensive, this hotel with 24h reception was quite good. Rooms are big and bed comfortable, but not very clean
