Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities...
Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano

I booked the hotel for my female friend, who was travelling to the Bolivia border and back to Arequipa, because of the corruption at the Bolivian border. She didn’t sleep or could wash herself for several days and was coming back too late, so while I was travelling in Spain, I booked for her.
She told me that the personnel of the hotel were highly educated and friendly and she even could stay extra nights.
Because of her story, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The price was good as well.
Being humane is the best cure for the world.
The hotel has a hostel section and they are providing hotel quality at the hostel as well.Although the location is very central, it is very quiet. Super clean and comfy beds, open buffet rich breakfast, lovely and caring personnel (especially Mari, in the reception). Mari is amazing. She even prepared a breakfast box for me since I had a night departure for Colca tour. i stayed there for a week and felt really like home. A hidden gem in Arequipa.
Visited Peru for a total of 2 weeks and this hotel had by far the best pillows and bed. Super comfortable and I wish we would have stayed more than one night. The rooftop restaurant was incredible for both breakfast and dinner! Just wish people wouldn't block the view with their non-stop picture taking so we could actually enjoy the view the whole time. The restaurant even offered heated ponchos for the cold evening. Superb!
This hotel was very charming and located close to the main square. We got a suite the first night and the room was large and came with a water kettle, tea bags, a tv, a safe, and a very hot shower. The hotel was more than happy to hold our luggage at the reception area when we traveled to Chivay for an overnight trip. Morning breakfast was tasty and they served up the best coffee I had in Peru.
That we had a night near the Airport for our early departure. A huge thank you to the gals at the front desk for bringing us a cup of coffee to our room. We were obviously looking very tired from our adventure of finding our way to the hotel through numerous road blocks. It had been a 12 hour day starting in Puno at 6 a.m. and somewhat harrowing navigating our way to Arequipa Airport.
The hotel is beautifully located in the centre of Arequipa. Besides of that the building of the hotel is typical Arequipeño which makes it really authentic to stay there. There's a beautiful rooftop at the hotel where you have an amazing view of the volcanos. The staff are kind and very helpfull. Our hotelroom was very beautiful and unique designed.
Breakfast was decent- cereal yoghurt and eggs, fruit juice and coffee too. Lovely rooftop bar to relax at, free salsa class on Fridays, dorms were spacious and comfy and there was always hot water. Staff were very helpful and owner Manuel was great too, he showed me some Peruvian salsa music. Nice location by the river too.
Everything was excellent! the sunsets and views of the volcanos from the balcony are some of the best in Arequipa. And we had them basically all to ourselves. The staff were great and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and tours! thanks Alejandra! we could not have been happier with our stay!
Good location. we arrived early on the morning and the manager Jesus gave us a room to temporarily refresh and rest until our room was ready! You don't normally get that in hotels these days! Also there was always hot water in the bathroom a regular problem in hotels in Peru. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Actually, pretty good place to stay if you spend a couple of days in Arequipa.
Few things that I liked:
-Breakfast was good;
- Room was really clean and amenities were quite new and well maintained;
- Bed was very comfortable;
- Room accessible from the outside (I liked that sometimes);
- Nice rooftop.
The owners were a great help to accomodate most of my requests - as when I saw where was located the room I booked I asked to be moved and they provided me other options.
They have also assisted me to book a trekking tour and provide me with valuable info about Arequipa.
The hotel was nice overall.
The beds were the most comfortable we have been in Peru! It feels very homey and the breakfast was great. There was hot water in the showers after a few minutes. The location was fantastic. Great value for money, I recommend staying here!
Without a doubt my best hotel experience in Peru. Beautiful rooms, it felt like staying at home. The attention to clients is unmatched. 24 hour reception. Flexibility for early checkin and late checkout was much appreciated.
The restaurant was great in the hotel. Natalie and Maribell were extremely attentive to our requests. The chicken sandwich with fries was the best we've eaten in Peru and we've lived here for 11 months.
The hotel was very well located, and the room well equipped. The views from the rooftop bar especially at sunset were stunning and very special. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception and bar.
It’s a good hotel, the location is so close to the main square and historic streets, the staff is very friendly and finally if you gonna go to Colca valley tour they give you a box lunch
The location of this hotel is fantastic - within easy walking distance to the heart of Arequipa. They also have a fantastic rooftop bar with a great view & good Pisco Sours.
