Operated by the local Nakhi people and enjoying a history of 15 years, Mama Naxi Guesthouse is a family-style hostel offering cosy accommodation in Lijiang. Free WiFi is accessible in all areas. We liked everything in here. The owner lady welcomed us at the train station and she didn't charge us for the ride. At the guest house, which is something like less than a 10 minute walk to the old city, she also invited us for a cup of tea. She speaks good English and is very helpful with anything you need. She also makes yummy breakfasts that we didn't find elsewhere in China!!! The furniture at the reception is a bit oldie in our opinion but it simply reflects the Chinese style so don't get discouraged by that. It was all great for us. Making the traditional modern, the luxurious InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort presents beautiful Nakhi courtyard architecture, surrounded by lush greenery. One of the best hotels I have been. There were separate big bedroom with nice bathtub. The living room was also very cozy and useful. Nice interior design that was relaxing and pleasing for the eye.

Featuring classic wood furnishings and a courtyard with greenery, Old Town of Lijiang Meiliju Inn is located peacefully in Lijiang Ancient Town. Free WiFi is accessible in all areas. This is a small inn right in the historical center of Lijiang, just off one of the main streets. The staff is extremely friendly, where you are welcomed with tea and fresh fruit. They helped me out with everything, really impressive. The room is very comfortable with all amenities you can expect. I’ll come back when I have the opportunity!
