Located just 4.5 km from Pollurinn, Kirkjubraut - Church street features accommodation in Talknafjordur with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as a tour desk. We loved the property! This was our favorite stay during our trip. The cabin had a lovely design and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking in. Everything we needed was in waking distance and a local hot spring was a very short drive, we went twice!

Offering river views, Bjarkarholt Guesthouse in Bjarkarholt offers accommodation, a garden and a shared lounge. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge. Unlike most guesthouses we encountered across Iceland, we met a host (and he was very very nice)! It was not a self-check-in with the guests confused about everything. The best part of this is you can ask the host for things to do in the region or where to go next or ask for help with some matters (we were scared of having a flat on our car - which we didn't in the end - but quickly the host said he knew someone who could help us out early in the morning if necessary). The house seemed recently built/renovated with everything top-notch in the kitchen (both options of gas and electric stove, new fridge, premium kettle, free coffee), in the bathrooms (there was even a mirror with a built-in power button for built-in mirror lights for a stylish high tech feel), and in the common areas (I believe there's even heated floor in the corridor of the rooms which is nice for your bare feet during the night). There is a hot pool across the road which we didn't end up going to but looked very nice. (costs 1000 ISK to be left on a box if no staff is present).

There are lupins just opposite the parking in front of the house and the sea view opposite the road The facilities were enough for a short stay. It was clean, tidy and comfortable.

This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.... Host was friendly and helpful. We had a deflated tire and the host actually helped to pump up our tire. There's a nice hot tub where we soaked in and enjoyed the Northern Lights. Comes with a washer and dryer which was really helpful to have. BBQ pit provided.
