This island property is along the Arctic Circle, next to Grímsey Airport and 40 km off Iceland’s northern coast. It offers a restaurant, guest lounge and free public area Wi-Fi. Everything was great! Spacious kitchen, nice living room, extra breakfast room and the rooms are very nice too! The owners are the most amazing people and it was definately a 10/10! Everyone who wants some calm, relaxing and chilling days I warmly recommend Básar Guesthouse and Grimsey Island

So clean and comfortable. Cooked a nice dinner and relaxed after walking around the town. The kitchen had all the basics. The skylights are fun and allowed us to see small/mild northern lights on the night we stayed. Town is small so we could walk all around easily from this apartment. Loved seeing the school children heading out for a hike past the door in the morning.

Amazing balcony views of mountains, town and fjord. Large well equipped one bedroom flat. Booked an hour before we came and they immediately had the cleaner get the place ready for us.

Surrounded by a fjord in the northern town of Siglufjördur, this hotel is 100 metres from Adalgata main street and 17 km from Ólafsfjördur town centre. Still thinking of the superb Moroccan dinner from the downstairs restaurant. I really enjoyed the quirky interior and the breakfast was great! There was a large group of people that came to dinner right after us, the owner tipped us about eating early. When we went upstairs to our room, we did not notice the crowd downstairs.

Perfect location for us, very well equipped, warm and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if the property is available when we visit Siglo.

The guesthouse is located IN the town Siglufjörður, the northernmost town of the Troll Peninsula. , this modern guest house is 16 km from Ólafsfjördur. My favourite stay of our roadtrip. The garden and cottage style decoration of the cabin is just magical! We arrived late and got right into the hottub, outdoors and with great view of the garden. The cabin is a very small space but used wisely, did not feel cramed at any time and it even has all the essentials to cook a quick meal. Highly recommend it for a short stay and for couples. Helen is a lovely host, very charismatic and caring.
