Friendly welcome and attention staff. Very comfortable rooms and lovely shower. The children loved the room and bunk beds. Some comments mention noise from the bar but we didn't find this a problem.

The owners are exceptionally friendly and make you feel welcome. It is good value and far better than staying in a bland motorway hotel.

This is such an amazing place! Lovely hosts! The location and position is just so peaceful - the hut is outstanding and soooo beautiful! But...the donkeys...WOW...just a sheer joy to be around!

Easy to find, fantastic and peaceful location. Ample parking space in the yard. Very friendly welcome and tour of the appartment, with spacious living room and kitchenette, King size bed, and bathroom equipped with both bath tub and shower! Access to Garden terrace with wonderful views over the fells and plenty of tourist info and advice for the immediate and surrounding areas. Also have to mention the very tasty, home-made Victoria Sponge welcome cake and fresh eggs waiting for us upon arrival. All in all, everything you could wish for, for a very peaceful and relaxing weekend away from the stress and bustle of modern life, but still with plenty of attractions and towns to visit (including Beamish), just a stones throw away.

It's such a beautiful place. The entrance is also beautiful, friendly owner and lively dog, classic interior, spacious room, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. It was an unforgettable night. This is a place I definitely want to go back to.

Extremely clean rooms. Barry is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. A complimentary continental breakfast each day in the room along with full range of hot drinks , also a mini snack bar which you can buy from. The little added touches really make it a lovely place to stay. Can’t wait to come next year to see what else Barry has done with the place .
