The ferry is quite close, I took it to get to The Lodge from Cobh, €10. The renovations on this property are top of the line. The property is gated, you can call when you get there to be let in, and there is a kind of keyfob on with your room keys. I felt more like a queen there than I do in my fancy hotel tonight!

The home and Mary were so warm and inviting. Set on a hill with a gorgeous view of the hills and water. Perfect sunrises! We really enjoyed the homemade breakfasts and Mary made some excellent suggestions for local sights and food. Highly recommend!

The location was perfect for anyone wanting to be close to Cork without staying downtown. It was so easy to get to Douglas for some great dining options when we didn’t want to go back into Cork. The hosts were amazing, helpful, so fun to talk to, and very understanding when our flights got delayed and we got in late.
