My wife and I stayed for two nights. Hartley House is in a picturesque location a few minutes outside of town. You wont be woken up by traffic noises…maybe a cow mooing or a horse neighing. Beautiful 18th century home that has been tastefully restored and decorated. Kate is a gem and presents an incredible breakfast spread.

Jessica was a great host, really welcoming and friendly. The place was a little tricky to find as there was no sign and the Eircode took me a couple of hundred yards too far, but a quick call to Jessica sorted it all. Very comfortable bed, and everything was spotless and fresh.

It was a very cute place to stay for overnight. We booked it because we searched for something in this area for one night and we loved it. If you are planning to visit McDermott Castle or any other activity at the nearby lakes, i highly recommend to stay here. The current holder of this house is really nice, he gave us good advice what to do in the nearby area.

Great location in the centre. While there was no breakfast provided there was a small kitchen for our use which was perfect! There were cereals and porridge left out for guest use.

Very comfy bed, clean, and the host was easily reachable and very responsive. Great value for money if staying in Carrick for a night or two and it's right in the centre of town.
