Situated in Alajuela City, 31 km from Poas National Park, Alexander b&b features recently renovated accommodation with free WiFi and a garden. The double room with en-suite bathroom was perfect, simple, clean and comfortable, with access to a nice patio, and a fan was available too. The hosts are very nice people, super friendly and helpful. Ideal location close to shops and restaurants, and very close to the airport.

Located within 30 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 32 km of Kalambu Hot Springs in Fortuna, Birds & Breakfast Costa Rica provides accommodation with seating area. We had a fantastic time at this place. You have a wonderful view from the terraces and we saw plenty of wildlife (kolibris, sloths, tucans and plenty of other colorful birds) which can bei experienced from up close with Fabios telescope. Marcella and Fabio took us on a nighttime and daytime walk and were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was tasty! In general, it was one of the best places we ever stayed. We were able to access the house with a regular car (no 4x4), but I guess it may be different depending on the season.

Lajuela BnB & Hostel is set in Alajuela City, 30 km from Poas National Park, less than 1 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium, as well as 8.2 km from Parque Viva. Great location. Pretty close to the airport. Very helpful people running the hotel.

The hosts are incredible and prepare great breakfast every morning. Me and my partner were originally going to stay one night and ended up staying 3 nights lol. I loved their dogs and pregnant cat. Genuinely wonderful!

Situated 11.6 km from Rio Celeste Waterfall, Jardin entre Montañas offers a garden, and accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. We had a very nice stay in the Jardin. The location was beautiful and we had the best breakfast in Costa Rica with own produced chocolate. Thanks a lot! 😊

Situated just 32 km from Poas National Park, Casa del Suizo provides accommodation in Alajuela City with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Very clean. The owner/operater is a very nice lady and makes a delicious breakfast. Comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Property is located in a quiet area. Only 15 minutes from the airport. Thank you for the wonderful time here. Looking forward to my next visit.

Situated in Pital, Iguanitas Lodge provides accommodation with a public bath and an open-air bath. The property has pool and river views. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is a family run business and they are the nicest people. It is not a fancy resort but is comfortable and clean. The pool is a great place to cool off. They have a nice outdoor sitting area and a feeding station where a lot of birds come to feed. They also make good food.

Boasting a patio with garden views, an infinity pool and a garden, Villa Tucan can be found in Fortuna, close to Ecoglide Arenal Park and 3.9 km from La Fortuna Waterfall. We really enjoyed our stay in villa Tucan. Restaurants and shops (supermarket, bakerey, etc.) can be found nearby, the centre of la Fortuna is just a few minutes by car. The garden and the pool are great: many fruit-trees, a lot of birds and the pool and jacuzzi were perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. Berenice and her family did all to make our stay as nice as possible
