Situated within 2.3 km of Morioka Station and 3.3 km of Morioka Ice Arena, Tototo Morioka features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Morioka. The location isn’t terribly exciting but the town is very walkable so it’s easy to get into the centre. The place is very clean and organised, quite traditional (I think, I don’t know what’s traditional really) and run by one guy who is very helpful and chill. It’s a comfortable place to stay and to relax in the evenings. The other guests were cool.

Super nice hosts. Japanese style bedroom. Great onsen just 5 mn away. Small attentions. Perfect breakfast (one you would pay half the price of this room at any 4 stars hotel in Tokyo). Good advice about restaurants and stuff. Easy going people. The kind of place you'll remember when you're away from Japan.

The holiday flat is quite close to the Sakura spot of Tenshochi Park and the Michinoku folk museum. The flat is located at the riverside with a lovely view and is decorated prettily. The owner is nice. She showed us some beautiful places when we arrived and drove us to the station when we had to leave.

Very tranquil location, high quality tatami floors in a traditional Japanese house, free complimentary tea and cozy common area, nice with a warm bath available and the host was very kind. A cute goat on the property. really enjoyed the experience!

Located just 2.3 km from Morioka Station, Buchoho No Yado Morioka features accommodation in Morioka with access to free bikes, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Great staying in a Japanese house. It was self check in and instructions given before arrival sufficed. Having use of a bike made going round town a lot easier.

タカマス民宿 is located in Ōtsuchi, 10 km from Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium, 18 km from Kamaishi Station, and 41 km from Iwate Prefectural Fishery Science Museum. I stayed longer than I intended. The little town radiates peacefullness. And so does this guesthouse. I felt so comfortable and respected here. I was so perfectly treated I just wanted to stay longer. I actually did. And I want to go back. Live at the end of the world again, feel that small measure of peace again.
