Located in Gojō, お宿さつき奈良五條 is a recently renovated accommodation, 29 km from Subaru Hall and 37 km from Tanpi Shrine. This guest house provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Wonderful experience of Japan outside of the cities. Easy to get to by train. Incredible views. There were bikes to hire which was wonderful. We spent a day visiting Koyasan in the mountains which is an absolute must. Amazing Japanese restaurants walking distance. Shogo and his wife are incredible hosts and go beyond expectations of any hosts. Helpful, perfect English and Japanese, great communication skills and very helpful and nice people. Beds are super comfy. Well worth the experience, and it snowed the day we left. Magical place.

ゲストハウス奈良庵 B&B Nara An, a property with a shared lounge, is situated in Nara, 5.9 km from Nara Station, 12 km from Iwafune Shrine, as well as 17 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church. Delicious breakfast every day. Hiroko is easy to talk to. She always checks in and asks how things are once she is available, friendly but not in a pushy way. She and Dane are nice couple, they always provide help. Staying here is like staying home.

A 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station, Guest House Oku is located a 15-minute walk from JR Nara station. Guest House Oku features a total of 3 guest rooms and free WiFi throughout the property. We spent some really great days at Okus guesthouse. Oku was very welcoming and friendly. We can only recommend staying here if you want to explore Nara.

Fukubatake B&B is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Yoshino, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Staying here was absolutely wonderful. These folks are incredibly generous, warm, interesting people who are fun to be around and who are happy to share their authentic Japanese country home with others. Yuki and KoMay believe in organic, locally produced food and Yuki is an excellent cook. 'Breakfast' turned out to be a genuinely superb three course meal with home made hot soup, a gorgeous plate of all sorts of delicious treats including tempura herbs (from the garden), home made bread and little bean sweet treats. KoMay is working on his organic garden and Yuki turns it into a feast! KoMay is a professional jazz pianist. He is quite brilliant at improvisation and is happy to entertain with music as well as conversation. We felt incredibly privileged to stay with such genuine and interesting people.

Set in Nara, 4.7 km from Nara Station and 22 km from Iwafune Shrine, Niwamori_org offers free bikes and air conditioning. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Jerome and Hana are super chill and friendly hosts, we feel very welcomed in their home :) We also enjoyed helping them with gardening and also the dinner with their garden volunteers!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 彩 irodori 1日1組一軒家の宿 ペットOK is set in Gojō, 30 km from Subaru Hall and 40 km from Mizugaike Park. We loved absolutely everything at Irodori. The ryokan is beautiful, thoughtfully and artistically designed, very quiet and spacious. She served the best cup of fresh ground coffee I've had in my 4 weeks travelling throughout Japan. She was helpful in meeting our train late in the evening and helped us forward luggage to another hotel a bit further out on our journey.

Located in Gose, 23 km from Subaru Hall and 29 km from Tanpi Shrine, Katsuemon offers a garden and air conditioning. This guest house features free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. Super nice couple that picked us up and dropped us off at the station, my son had food poisoning from the hotel the night before in Osaka and they helped with that and got us in a great meal, breakfast. The house is stunning and very big with excellent rooms.

Friendly and hospitality, that is all I can talk about the owner, when we stay in this homestay, I feel like in my home with the warmer spaces, we have talking together about personal trip, travel and all things in this world. Even when my friend have a a trouble with her heath, they help me to find hospital and call the taxi during the bad weather effect by big typhoons. We have heard all kind of music in that typhoon night. How the beautiful memories, I will go back again if I have chance. Love Tsubame House and Nara Prefecture.
