It is a Japanese traditional house homestay with tatami which located only 5 mins walk from the train station. We got a big room as there were 4 of us. The room is spacious which is sufficient to open all of our luggages. The owner Mariko-san is very friendly as she took good care of us. She drove us to the bridge and prepared different types of breakfast for 2 days. She also gave us souvenirs which made by herself. We felt like home throughout our stay.

He gives practical and useful advice to us, thus our trip was really enjoyable. Besides, sleeping everynight while listening nearby rivers sound was refreshing, also relaxing. Accommodation is really clean. You should definitely try japanese style breakfeast, izumi-san and his wife are also great cooks

The accommodation was immaculate. We liked that we could prepare a meal in the kitchen and relax in the living area. Our room was just right and there was enough space for our luggage. Yoshi the host is a lovely person and gave great tips for sightseeing and restaurants, he also speaks excellent English.

Featuring a garden, Midorian is located within Nikko National Park. The property is around 1.5 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, 8 km from Kegon Falls and a 16-minute walk from Futarasan Shrine. The property is amazing. It is in a quiet location a short walk from the bus stop. We got a little stuck in the rain but once we got there it was such a welcome relief, a beautiful traditional Japanese house with tatami mats and shoji. The sounds of the nearby river flowing behind the property was extremely relaxing and really added to the serenity of the property. The host is such a nice guy, we chatted fishing and he even sent me my headphones to our next accomodation after I left them behind. Wish we could have stayed longer but with our limited time we were go go go! Thanks Midorian.

The room was impeccable and fully equipped with appliances and kitchen equipment, We were able to buy some premade mean from the nearby supermarket and use the microwave there to heat up our food.

Charming place with a great atmosphere to meet other travelers at the end of the day while providing an excellent level of privacy and hospitality. If you arrive in Nikko, Komiko is the best host you'd find!

The star is the onsen - there are 2 onsen rooms in a separate building outside with a maple tree on the walk out. There is a clever light system that allows you to know when the onsens are in use by other guests - plenty of time to be able to use. The onsen rooms are beautifully built and were such a delight to use - there was a private outside space for one of them as well. As the onsens are private, it is fine for people with tattoos to use. There is a large communal area where you have breakfast and can also relax and prepare other meals. Hot and cold water available as well as microwaves and toaster for preparing meals. There is a lovely children's play area as well. Breakfast is served in the morning with a choice of different pastries and drinks that you order the night before. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. Good location - 10 minutes by bus from Tobu Nikko station, 5 minutes by bus to the shrines, temples and Shinyko bridge, 5 minute walk to Daiyu river and about 30-40 minutes by bus to Lake Chuzenji. The beds were comfortable and there was good amount of space for storage in the rooms. Table, chairs and TV in each room.

Set in Nikko, the recently renovated COZY Inn Free Shuttle service offers accommodation 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It was a wonderful experience, coming to Mr. Hiro's house. The accommodation was clean, beautiful, traditional, the conversation with the owner was very pleasant. I slept wonderfully there. I will always return to this place in my thoughts. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. And as a bonus, there is excellent and tasty drinking water. If you are thinking about where to stay in Japan, this is the right choice. Just don't make the same mistake I did. We were only for one night. We have to come back here for at least 3 nights.
