Soltägtgården provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 21 km of Dalhalla Amphitheatre and 49 km of Vasaloppet Museum. What a lovely surprise Soltagtgarden was on our trip. We came at the beginning of Spring and were treated with a glorious snowfall that made for a magical landscape on our doorstep. The location is just outside of Tallberg, with a view over the lake from our bedroom window. It was very quiet when we stayed, and enjoyed the sauna facilities, and deck area to read our books upon. Our room was self contained which was great, we had wine and cheese and cooked ourselves a pasta dinner. We spent our days walking down to the lake and exploring the local area - down snowy wooded trails past the cute little villages. It was like out of a postcard! Just gorgeous.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of garden, Wikgården B&B is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Gagnef, 48 km from Dalhalla Amphitheatre. Gagnef is centrally located in a small picturesque village. It is not far to places like Leksand, Rattvik (great Hemslojd store with a "museum" of older folk dresses upstairs), Nusnas, Mora (Anders and Emma Zorn home), Falun (Carl and Karin Larsson home), and the like. It is very nice to walk over to the Gagnef church and the floating bridge. The staff was wonderful and helpful! We had a great stay and would love to come back!

Lovely restored old railway station and right in the middle of Orsa. Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Nice breakfast. Superfriendly and personal service from owner Michael. Located in Särnaheden in the Dalarna region, Knappgården is peacefully located amongst nature and ski areas. Free WiFi access and free private parking are available. Really lovely accommodation, conveniently located for Idre and Fulfjället areas. Excellent range of high quality food for breakfast, friendly and very helpful hosts. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the facilities also are very good, with outdoor seating area with lovely views, sauna and games area.

Why stay in town in a boring hotel when you can get the county side luxury living just 10m from Falun center. When we arrived 2 deers were running down the field.
