Located in Jiufen, 34 km from Taipei, Sunshine B&B features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. The location is perfect, just a few mins walk to the bus station. Unlike most hotels in Jiufen, this one won't require you to climb up and down a lot of stairs. The path going to old street and bus station is uphill, though (but not a difficult walk). The accommodation is SUPER CLEAN. We were asked to wear indoor slippers and everything inside feels, looks, and smells clean and homey. The rooms are super spacious. The bathrooms are senior friendly and super clean too! The couple manning the place are so nice and helpful.

The property is perfect in every way, it’s like stepping into a completely different world. It creates a vibe that you live in the “spirited away” world. The location is super convenient, I walked to the old street in less than 10 minutes and you get to enjoy the quiet little town all by yourself before the tourists get in in the morning and after tourists leave at night. The host is super helpful when you need anything, you can also book day tours and massage to the room with the host. I’m extremely terrified of bugs, because this is in a forest and I was traveling by myself, that was a concern. But I didn’t encounter anything in my two nights of stay.

The property is close to a mountain so it is quite fresh and the little terrace is lovely to enjoy in the morning or evening. Breakfast was quite standard but still ok.

Very friendly people who will try to help you any way they can. This was our first stop in a new country and we tried to catch a bus and the sweet staff got us one with no problem with google translate. 😁 was very thankful

The location is extremely convenient for the old town, I got a taxi from Ruifang and I didn’t have to walk at all with my luggage. The room was very clean and comfortable. I loved the shower, it was a really cool design. The hosts were so relaxed and nice. The breakfast was tasty and I actually kept some of it for lunch. They called me a taxi in the morning when I asked which was really thoughtful. The host also told me when the old town was closing after telling me to have a little rest in the room, I felt very looked after and it was so relaxed.
