Altenmarkt is a cute little town nestled in the Alps. I’m sure the high season is winter, as it’s clerks a ski town. It’s still a beautiful spot in the summer, with cute restaurants and shops. Overall, a lovely pit stop on our way to Sloveni.

Altenmark is a small willage, but you can find a lots of shops and restaurants there, but we were so busy that we didnt go. We spend most of the time skiing, Flachau is just 15 min drive. Perfect for kids is aqua therme, swimming pool with big waves, hot water, tobogans etc and for others really great spa, with 5-6 different saunas.

Altenmarkt im Pongau is very nice city with a big numer of restaurants, cafe, hotele, boutiques, sport shops. There were also a few supermarkets. It was also a possibility to rent a ski even in the city, not only next to slopes. Altenmarkt is situated very close to Flachau or Radstad - Ski Amade Resort (10 minutes by car). It was also a cross-country skiing way near to the city but unfortunately there were No signs in the city center How to find it.

Small quiet town with beautiful church, lots of restaurants and hotels. We were in the Urbisgut hotel and it was great. Skibus stops on every part of this town, which is very comfortable. It is easy to go to huge ski-resorts Schladming or Flachau but we recommend smaller ones - Zauchensee or A

Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful family friendly area and that's within 1 hour drive from Salzburg zentrum..! Peaceful beautiful village with amazing snow mountain views make the visit a very pleasant one..!

The room was big and perfect for a couple with kids, the food was delicious, and the activities for the kids were perfect. We had everything we needed. The kids had fun at the Kids Club and the adults were able to enjoy the spa amenities. Thank you to all the very friendly staff members. We were very impressed. You need a car to move around, but this was not a problem for us. From here to the first supermarket you need to drive 3-5min,and to reach the skiing slopes of Zauchensee the drive is aprox 20min.
