Jungholz is located in a super tiny triangle of Austria and surrounded by the borders to Germany. So it may happen that you cross countries borders on one of your hiking tours without even noticing. We went in summer, though we would love to come back in winter one day too. You have access to many hiking tours that have a time from 1 1/2 up to 7 hours and therefore match every one’s needs and pleasures. Jungholz itself has a couple of restaurants, whereby the Schrofen Hütte and the restaurant of the Berghotel Tirol definitely are among the bests. It’s peaceful and in the morning it happens that you see a group of cows passing by your balcony on their way into the mountains. If you are looking for a genuine, original and cozy Austria-experience then you definitely should go for this place☺️ You’ll find places like Schloss Neuschwanstein, Füssen and many many lakes nearby.

A comfortable, well run hotel with a good atmosphere, great check in staff and good facilities. Jungholz is a small and quiet village with only a couple of restaurants but we enjoyed our meals there very much.

Our car navigator suggested a route across the mountains from Innsbruck, Check if your partner suffers from height because otherwise you need to take a different route The area was splendid, absolutely beyond expectations, as well as the hotel, that is typical tyrolean. Nice atmosphere and good service

Beautiful top location, a traditional but also modern hotel, runned by very friendly people - the owners are themselves a very nice family, very kind, truely client oriented. Furtheron, nice rooms, very clean, good comfort, very tasty food, good variated menu, quick service, no complaints about it. Facilities as described are real, WiFi functional in open places. Fitness possibilities too. As Jungholz tourist with a tourist card, you can also benefit of some extra facilities in Jungholz and Tanheimertal, i.e. promotional skipass etc.

It’s a bit of a vintage style hotel, very cozy yet everything was clean and well kept. Beautiful sights from the room, excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Enough play activities for kids, inside and outside. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Great pool area and outside jacuzzi with mountain backdrop is like a dream.

Very nice and rustic hotel. The rooms are also nice, clean and big. Several facilities included (pool, sauna), playground for the kids. The location is nice with great views. We booked last minute, when searching for a place to stay in the area and were pleased with what we found. Definitely something to return to.

We stayed 3 nights in a family apartment which was the best one in the hotel. The apartment and the view was great. The rooms were very clean. We enjoyed the balcony in the evening. My kids enjoyed a lot from swimming pool. The hotel offers free soft drinks! I would definitely recommend.
