Pörtschach is a (touristic) village at the Woerthersee with many restaurants and bars. Excellent for wateractivities but also a good base for walking/hiking. Sightseeing options in the neighbourhood to spend some days. We had a very good dinner experience at restaurant Orathai Schiffwirth.

The whole area is perfect for any kind of vacation activity. The seeside is real alpin adria. The city is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holidays. Bigger cities like Klagenfurt or Villach with many other cultural or sport opportunities are easily accesible.

We really like the spectacular view of the surrounding...
We really like the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains around the lake. Lots of hiking trails available so it's good for those who want to go for a bit outdoor. If you are there, you have must visit Minimundus and Pyramidkogel (don't miss the slide from the top). We were in the middle of February, and unfortunately most of the restaurants were closed, in the evening (arrount 7-8 pm) the streets are empty, only a few bars were open. It was a shame that in Minimundos most of the buildings were covered with some protective stuff, so it was less enjoyable.

However, at night the sounds of the higway were not disturbing our sleep at all. The hotel overlooks the lake, so the view is nice. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. If you travel with a dog, there are interesting sights nearby to take it for a longer walk. We liked the breakfast and its variety of choice.PaulinaPoland

The terrace on the ground floor had a view on the small garden. Lounge chairs were available. Just outside (walking distance) from the busy village center. There is also a train station nearby. With a car, one can reach 2 supermarkets in 5min. And most important of all for us it is pet friendly :) We even got surprise gifts from the owner of the hotel. just feel at home! can only recommend to stay!
