Broulee has developed from a quiet sleepy getaway just a short drive from amenities at Moruya or Batemans Bay to a quiet getaway with all the amenities included. The Brew House provides a lovely setting for an evening drink and meal. The Train Street shops near the schools now has a small supermarket and bottle shop as well as an outpost of The Mossy coffee shop. Beach walks, star gazing and swimming at North Broulee remain attractions while South Broulee and Tomakin beaches offer more waves for those interested.

Broulee has a lovely calm beach for those who like to bob in the water. Nearby Tomakin and others have more challenging surfing beaches. There are lovely nature walks nearby. The local IGA at Tomakin is great for most supermarket shopping or you can go into Batemans Bay or Moruya. The shops at Broulee now include a brew house along with the coffee shop, pharmacy and news agency. The Mossy Point cafe is a long-time staple for coffee and snacks. A great place for a relaxing holiday by the sea!

Wonderful beach and walk around Broulee Island was a highlight. General store was handy and stocked things we needed/wanted. There is nowhere to have dinner but we did eat at the Sports Club in Tomakin which was not too far away. Would be great to have somewhere good to eat in Broulee

Tomakin Beach was lovely for swimming.

Tomakin Beach was lovely for swimming. We found that we needed to drive everywhere as Barlings Beach is not near any shops or restaurants. With a car, it was handy to other south coast locations including Mogo, Narooma, Moruya and Tuross Heads.

The house is airy and light. We had very hot days at first followed by cool days and nights. The house’s brick construction makes it thermally stable, so by using the ceiling fans in the shared areas and the air conditioning once we were able to remain comfortable. The location is great for accessing the beach and Broulee shops, including the Brew House.

We liked the generous, light bright space with with tasteful, modern furniture and fittings. We especially liked the big wide balcony with its NE aspect and view of trees and birdlife. Its location near the middle of North Broulee beach was great for access to good surfing and walks either way along the beach and to the Broulee Island Nature Reserve.

Ingenious Holiday Broulee was a great place to stay. I haven’t stayed in a facility like this before and would stay again. It was far enough away from the surf not to hear loud crashing of the waves but close enough to hear a gentle rumble.

Quick and hassle free check-in and out. Spacious cabin that was reasonably well equipped with cooking utensils, crockery and microwave. Our cabin came with 4 bunk beds + a queen sized bed when our booking reservation was only for 3.

Loved the house - open plan federation style home with high pitched ceilings with exposed cedar paneling. What's not to like. So close to Broulee North Beach which is great for surfing/swimming. Facilities were great.

Great beach side location. Good location also for the Broulee Brew House. Best thing is breakfast on the deck listening to the birds and the ocean. Well equipped kitchen apart from no coffee machine or cafetiere.
