Facilities were amazing, clean and functional, view was breath taking with friendly staff who knew their stuff. Amenities were all in walking distance and well kept. People on the island were very friendly and informative. I was taken by the amount of young people employed on the island. The standard from the cleaners through to bar and kitchen staff, group tour guides were all of an extremely high and professional standard.

Although there was an initial misunderstanding with my booking it was soon rectified and I was moved from a very nice and very modern room in the Kookaburra Lodge to a smaller and slightly older - but more comfortable - studio suite in Ocean Lodge where the room opened directly onto the lawns by the pool and a few metres from the sea. I was able to stroll across each day and swim in the clear ocean waters. A lot of food at the Resort is deep fried but I found that it was possible to more have meals like a very tasty lemon thyme chicken breast or a very garlicky stir fried chicken and cashew dish. The hand-feeding of the dolphins was great fun, and the Rangers at the Whaling Station exhibition were knowledgeable and helpful. There are many many activities on offer for those who want to go parasailing or sightseeing in helicopters - but there are also plenty of places to sit, read a book and sip a glass of wine.
