Beautifully presented property. All units front onto a cottage type garden with BBQ facilities and a swimming pool. Everything about this property is first class. Reasonably priced and only a 10 minute walk to Maldon township, the room was spotlessly clean with all the necessary amenities provided. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this property.

The supplies and provisions were top-notch.
Eco-friendly, and naturally scented products throughout the property.
Wine, chocolates, fresh bread, orange juice, plant milk (by request), coffee maker (we only needed to get some local jam/honey and butter for the bread).
Soaker bath and bath salts were a hit, I fell asleep in the bath I was so relaxed.

Staying in Maldon is like stepping back in time, when life was simpler. The shops are more than adequate and have a large selection of antiques shops, to fossick through. There is an IGA supermarket, newsagent and pharmacy in the main street. There is a true sense of community and the locals will always have a chat to you.
It would be great if the choice of restaurants and hotels, would be more consistent. I would recommend to prebook, especially for the Easter Festival, but even then unexpected things happen, which leaves you trying to find places to eat. The pubs serve classic pub food. Looking forward to trying Francos Italian restaurant and hoping French restaurant Le Sol, goes back to serving dinners. The Golden Nugget Restaurant in Porcupine Village, serves a delicious, Sunday, roast lunch.

A lovely historical town but best to visit on a weekend or late in the week so attractions and cafes are open. We arrived late Sunday afternoon and left Tuesday morning. Many cafes, restaurants and shops were closed on Monday and Tuesday. The train from Maldon to Castlemaine was also not operating. It's a very quiet, quaint town and a great place to base yourself to also visit nearby towns such as Castlemaine and Kyneton.

Maldon was central to where we wanted to be.
Maldon was central to where we wanted to be. The tourist information centre was amazing. Very knowledgeable and happy to share and answer all our questions, nothing was too much trouble. We collected information on the gold diggings and picked up maps etc.
Had tea at the local pub and the food was great for pub food. Salmon was cooked to just how I asked for it.
The locals were very friendly and we loved the community spirit of the town. Volunteer ambulance service to the local hospital, the community run aged care facility etc etc A caring town.
We are keen to back and explore more of the town and its history. Freda & [Stephen]

Maldon is well known for its very well preserved main street. So if you want to visit a place where the high street isn't full of generic, multinational businesses, this is the town for you. The town is small and is easy to walk and/or drive around. It's also a short drive to a few other notable towns in the region such as Castlemaine, making it a good base for a regional tour. I had coffee & cake at the Gold Exchange Café, (yum), dinner at the Kangaroo Hotel (nice steak), and brekkie at the Maldon Cafe. While having brekkie at one of the outdoor tables, the passing locals nodded with a greeting smile, which I happily returned.
Check in is self managed and all instructions were clearly provided well before my arrival. The room was large & comfortable with everything very clean & in good working order. The décor is gold rush era/old railway station waiting room. I mean that in a good way. You'll know what I mean when you see it. It's definitely not modern hotel generic. The garden out the front is lovely and I only wished it hadn't rained so much so I could have enjoyed it more.
We popped up to Maldon for the weekend and this cottage was excellent.
We arrived with the air conditioner on for us which was a pleasant surprise, the rooms and beds were comfortable, the gardens we lovely, and best of all it was working distance to the main street.
We enjoyed a drink on the front porch and loved chatting to the chooks in the backyard.
Overall highly recommended.
breakfast basket was absolutely amazing, very welcoming, Maldon was gorgeous place to visit, the garden the property is situated on is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend Palm house it has a lot of history to it. Also once your done cooking your breakfast go sit outside on the back porch and enjoy the serenity you don't ever want to leave trust me. Thank you Andrew
We had a warm and wonderful stay in this beautiful and unique cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the super comfortable beds, the top of the range facilities and the quality furnishings throughout the entire cottage. Our thanks to Jamie for providing us with the wonderful and generous hamper of local food treats and for making our 3 day stay in Maldon so memorable.
The Hotel was so interestingly presented. So many grand and unusual elements to delight guests. The kitchen was very well equiped and offered all appliances and cooking essentials which made self catering a breeze. The location was an easy walk into Maldon’s main street but the Hotel itself was pleasant enough to stay put for the weekend.
The whole place was ideal for a long stay. Room was ideal well furnished and spacious. Close to town with great cafes and hotels with great food. Olivia and Aiden great hosts. Nothing too difficult. WIFI excellent. Lots of places to see. IAG in town. Will definitely be back and will certainly recommend. Thanks.
The entire team at Maldon's Eaglehawk Motel were so lovely throughout our short stay and very trusting and helpful! The Family Room we stayed in with our 5-week old son was fantastic and the rooms and bathroom were very cottage-like and comforting. I would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend!
super clean and well presented. A secure yard and dog bowls etc made us feel comfortable having our dogs there. A lot of places advertise dog friendly but aren’t actually very dog friendly and come with a long list of rules. Parker Lodge is very dog accommodating. It was like being at home!
Superb property in a great location. The property has all the facilties you need and so much more a credit to the Owners. We had a delightful stay in the historic town of Maldon. Great location to explore Castlmaine and Bendigo from too. Thank you to Jamie for all the additional goodies.
Beautifully furnished cottage with very comfortable beds, couches etc. Lovely big kitchen, living area, and some nice outdoor options. Quiet location with an easy walk into the town of Maldon. The cottage was well maintained and very clean. Bathroom had good water pressure,
Beautiful quiet spot, close to the centre of Maldon (we walked to dinner at the local pub and back, it's a nice stroll).
Lovely staff. Very clean. It has everything you need (microwave in the room is a nice touch), plus a gorgeous garden with a pool. Highly recommended!
It was ideal for our purpose of visiting Maldon. The accomodation space was compact but not cramped. There is an enclosed 'outside' porch which allowed us to remove wet boots and coats before entering the accomodation space which worked well for us in the wet weather.
A beautiful house and garden, with the most genial hosts. The breakfast basket was overflowing with goodies, including fresh herbs from the garden and local produce. A short break in Maldon was refreshing and relaxing, and we hope to revisit this charming spot soon.
Everything went so well - it was absolutely fabulous - couldn't fault anything, communications were excellent, service fabulous, the gardens were lovely, the cottage was brilliant, it was so cosy, very delightful and warm.
