Our hostess was very helpful in sorting out a couple of problems we encountered, lovely manner. We appreciated having a blanket on the bed instead of the ubiquitous doona that most motels and hotels now have on the beds. The restaurants are only a few minutes drive away.
Bikes available to ride around !
The lounge area is welcoming and comfortable . Clean rooms and best of all it’s nice and QUIET, The Local is great as well!
No breakfast available (but you can cook your own)

It is a standard motel - easy to find, in house restaurant with reasonable food, comfortable bed, low price but nothing outstanding. Clean but smelled highly (and unpleasantly) of cleaning products when we arrived!
No pod machine, no extra decorations but a decent sized table where we played a game.
Found the immediate area disappointing but nice winery experiences a short drive away.

The room was fully renovated, very comfortable, clean and simply decorated. The Staff was very helpful and very friendly. We loved staying here. The only small disappointment was the breakfast. From the pictures we expected a buffet continental breakfast with croissants as the picture showed. However the breakfast was provided in the room which we could take out with us to the common kitchen area and only had bread and jams and yoghurt.

After seeing my review and reading others, it would seem that the motel has either a power problem or there's an issue with signal strength for air con, TV and other electrics. I hope the owners get to read these comments. It's a nice motel , great value , but problems with electrics.

It was just an overnight stay.
It was just an overnight stay. Murrumbateman isn't a big place but I believe there are wineries close by & it is close to ACT.
The Country Inn was busy that evening, which may explain why the meal was disappointing & the vegetables raw & cold. (Not meant to be a salad).
No frills country motel, but attached to an excellent country hotel which has a good dinner menu. The motel is behind the hotel, and so is shielded to an extent from the highway.
I stayed there because I had tasks on that side of Canberra next day. I live down the south coast now, and I'm "over" cities, so Murrumbateman is a nice place to stay in the fresh air. It's also pretty central to a number of good wineries.
I thought that the motel was well located for our journey. Although very basic, it was good value for money and had everything we wanted. We had a meal at the adjoining hotel. The meal was great and once again good value for money. It was very popular so you need to book. We would definitely stay again if heading that way again.
Modern, very clean and comfortable hotel. Size of the rooms are good. Also loved the addition of the little terrace area (even though it was cold!)
Staff were friendly and let us check in early.
The common area is great to have a little night cap near the fireplace. Kitchen is also helpful!
I had been driving since Geelong and I wanted to be in Canberra the following day. the location was perfect. No stairs - car parked out front of my room. I could order a salad and a glass of Murrumbateman wine from the bar and enjoy sitting on the outdoor furniture in front of my room.
We had an internal room, it is new and clean. The bed was very comfortable. not hard. It was quiet at night with no road noise. Plenty of parking, has communal cooking area, we had a great meal at the Pub and breakfast at a Cafe both about a 5 min walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay due to the bed and pillows...amazing.
Never stayed in a hotel with a full kitchen available for use. We were not self catering but perfect for travellers who are. Easy to get to many wineries.
Family room with 2 double beds....may even have been queens, not sure. Easy to find. Easy access to load/unload car in adjacent carpark...motel style. Great to be able to bring our dog.
Amazing values for money! Big rooms. Next door to the hotel with food and beverages, service station with IGA across the road and a takeaway store on the other side of the buildings.
This hotel is truly impressive. Unlike typical highway motels, it exceeds standards. The highlight for us was the shared kitchen, perfect for our family to prepare breakfast.
Plenty of parking, room was large and there were three chairs (hate having to sit on the bed). The hotel was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. Shower was good.
