Trebinje is a nice option for those who would like to see and experience more than just Sarajevo and Mostar. Trebinje is a nice little city hidden in the mountains. Take a slow walk around the city, enjoy the views of an old bridge (I would say it's probably even more beautiful that the one in Mostar) and relax.

Trebinje is a sweet little town on a beautiful river surrounded by mountains. There is so much local food here and everyone is very kind. The daily market in the plaza is a must and make sure to visit the cheese shop as well. Take a walk up the hills to visit the churches or rent a kayak for a leisurely paddle on the river. We loved Trebinje!

Plenty of activities for kids including an Aqua Terrariums park “Grad Sonca “ which is also a great value for money, services food and refreshments and it is much better than other similar places twice as expensive and much further from Dubrovnik 😁🙂

Trebinje is a gem.
Trebinje is a gem. It boasts the old town with restaurants, a magnificent position with the clean river flowing through it, and pleasant people. We did not have the time to explore the area around Trebinje, but on our way out we saw that there is plenty to visit and enjoy.

Trebinje and its surrounding offer many interesting sites...
Trebinje and its surrounding offer many interesting sites for culture vultures.
Hercegovacka Gracanica is not only a beautiful, famous church, but also a place where remains of Jovan Ducic were buried. Since the building is on the top of the mountain, you have a breathtaking view of Trebinje from there.
Monastery Tvrdos has an interesting interior, because one part of its floor is made of glass, so one can see the old base of the monastery, which is so unbelievable. The monastery produces its own wine - we tried it and it's excellent!
Museum of Herzegovina is a spectacular three-story building in the old town and its exhibits range from 1st century AD to present days.
Everything is near. If you like hiking, you can walk. If you are not a walker, take a taxi - for average of 3 euros you can get everywhere.

Trebinje is a very picturesque city.
Trebinje is a very picturesque city. The old city, the old mosque, the beautiful river, the bridges, restaurants and a fantastic museum. The general atmosphere is realxed and the people is very welcoming. It is a very nice change from the general mediocrity of the tourist spots. Food is fantastic and prices very reasonable. The place is authentic and the locals are nice for real. Check the market. The valley where Trebinje is located is like out of a movie, surrounded by tall mountains with a river going across the middel of the valley. The surroundings are full of places for sightseeing like old stone villages, monateries, etc and it is only 1/2 hour away from Dubrovnik and aproximately 45 minutes to Herceg Novi in Montenegro. Leaving the EU, its crazy prices and stupid regulations and entering Hercegovina feels like travelling back to the happy 80s and 90s. Great deal.
It’s a lovely hotel on the old town but unfortunately the night we were there, the electrical system had gone down and the air conditioning was not working and they were experiencing some higher temperatures. There are some lovely big windows that would have been nice to open and have air flow, unfortunately our room opened up onto a late night bar with loud music playing till after midnight. Probably a room not backing onto the bar and we would have got a better night sleep
Dučić Apartmant is one of the best accomodations we ever had. Everything is just perfect inside. It is located at the city center. There is a parking place free of charge in front of the building. You also have a flat roof of the building with the wonderful panorama view, to enjoy the beauty of Trebinje.
Nikola is a host, who will warmly welcome you, and also give you instructions for everything that you need to fulfill your vacation in this amaizing city.
Location was great, very close to the city center and has a beautiful view of Trebinje from the terrace. The apartment was spacious and the owner let us use the ground floor, although there was no need for that, because five of us were comfortably settled at the upper floor. The owner is very friendly and helpful for giving tips for visiting beaches, dining places and attractions around Trebinje.
Perfect location, friendly and professional stuff, parking in front of hotel (5€/day), room decoration (which I don't like but) is perfect for hotel in historical, old, town. Room is very well equipped, big bed, sofa, huge TV (I hope it works, didn't try it), good hairdryer (not anemic hotel type), a lot of pillows, basket for towels (no need to throw them on floor...
The exceptional hotel in Trebinje near the centre with large and comfortable rooms. The rooms have great views and very comfortable beds. The hotel was renewed currently and has a terrace and an outside swimming pool. The host is very friendly and always supportive. The breakfast was very tasty. The hotel has parking.
The location of the place is perfect to visit the centre of Trebinje. The availability of the garage makes you free from worrying if you would find the parking space after your return from visits of surroundings. The responsiveness of the owner rather high, which makes the overall impression more than satisfactory
The apartment was amazing, very clean and there’s plenty of space. There is also a parking place, which is an advantage for people traveling by car. The owner is a great person. He is very nice and responsible. Location is fine, 10 minute walk to Trebinje.
A modern but old money stylish hotel. Breathtaking river view, cozy rooms, delicious breakfast, warm hospitality from all the staff, especially the owner Dusan and the waiter Obrad. Would definitely recommend to everyone, especially to the couples!
Svetlana's welcome and recommendations about her city were of great value to us, because the time we stayed, was half a day. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. If you pass through Trebinje this apartment is a perfect choice.!
I highly recommend both this place and Trebinje as a destination. Vila is some 10 mins walk from the center, which is a good thing, since center is very loud. rooms are very big and clean. Owner is Canadian and very helpful! Would stay here again!
Beautifully restored hotel, very picturesque both location and internally. Room was very pretty and cleverly designed. Very clean, comfortable bed and pillows, great shower.
I was pleased with all, free save parking on the site, very good breakfast and kind stuff make this hotel good place to stay.
