Not far from Sofia airport but on the edge of the Stara Planina mountain range this is a great place from which to see Bulgaria. Todor and Mariana were excellent hosts. Very friendly, hospitable and interesting to talk to. I will definitely stay there again.

A good hotel for transit passengers with a friendly, responsive receptionist (unfortunately I don’t know the name). Despite the late check-in, I organized tea and ordered a taxi for a night flight to the airport. Quiet area in the private sector of Sofia, near the airport. I recommend the hotel to travelers for relaxation before an upcoming flight.

Literally only five or six minutes' walk from Terminal 1 arrivals to the property front door, passing a restaurant/24-hour shop on the way. There's a café opening 0700-1600 Monday-Friday nearby, but very little else around. Bus stops for the suburban lines serving the airport are within two minutes' walk if you want to go further afield though. The apartment is up one flight of stairs from street level, and comprises a large hallway, a large kitchen, a large bedroom and a small shower/toilet room. At first the bed seemed a bit hard (as seems to be the way in Central and Eastern Europe!), but I actually slept very well and comfortably on it.
