This is truly a unique hotel (in the best sense)! It has so many interesting collections spread throughout the halls and in each room. We stayed in the library room with high ceilings, ornate tin ceiling and book cases - the nicest room we've ever stayed in for the reasonable price. Very clean with large walk-in shower in the bathroom. We appreciated counter space for toiletries. The staff is very helpful.

Very nice rural area, in the heart of farming country. There is a Tim Horton's in Ridgetown, to which people apparently flock on Sunday morning. We had dinner at a fantastic restaurant/bar in the area, Mike's Place, which offered a 12" stack of huge onion rings, kiddie's pizzas which they prepared themselves at the table, and very tasty offerings of a variety of food. We visited the nearby Greenview Aviaries and Zoo, which was a very enjoyable outing for our family. This is quite a large place with many different animals, a splash pad and playground and picnic grounds. There was a restaurant and ice cream outlet but many people brought in their own food. We also went strawberry picking at Pardo's Berrie (sic) Farm in Blenheim and took home the most delicious and flavourful strawberries I've ever tasted.
