It is such a charming hotel. So clean and the staff is so friendly. Easy check in and out. Nice coffee place with breakfast sandwiches, muffins etc. There is also a restaurant inside hotel and the food is delicious.
Tofino Resort + Marina is the ideal place to experience Tofino, Canada’s famous west coast surfing destination. Tofino is so much more than surfing though.

Beautiful view over Tofino Harbour. Appreciated the little kitchenette and the spaciousness of the suite!

Tofino is worth the drive. Loved the casual vibe of this remote surf town. In winter it was delightful. We went up to Ucluelet and did a walk. We surfed in very thick wetsuits, and we had a sauna on the beach. The whale watching in winter didn't seem to be so easy to find.

What an absolutely interesting place!
What an absolutely interesting place! And we experienced both a trees breaking, power outing ferocious storm, and some pleasant and moderately sunny weather. Our stay at the Tin Wis Resort was beyond our expectations. We look forward to coming back, maybe in the summer next time.

Visiting in the "off season" was very nice.
Visiting in the "off season" was very nice. Everyone seemed relaxed and there were no crowds. Lots of free parking available. Most stores/restaurants were open. Some of the tour groups were still operating as well.
Co-op was a great place for reasonably priced groceries, including a deli/bakery.
Trails were well groomed and easy to locate. Try to work in the Bog Boardwalk trail as it's a very unusual area.
People were still surfing/kayaking, etc.

The 1.5 hr seaplane flight with Atleo was excellent - stop at a remote lake for a swim, see the coast, the interior, - just excellent.
Food was disappointing - by the sea yet very few served seafood that focused on the seafood - the focus seemed to be on having as many flavours as possible

It is an adventure type of trip.
It is an adventure type of trip. Huge trees, beaches are amazing, views, sunsets, and it has a feel of being a long ways away from just another tourist trap. The drive in is long and winding and you have to be really careful. Try to not arrive after dark as the highway has many tight curves that add to the risk. It is a fantastic getaway though, and the effort to get there and back is worth it. Try to stop at a few of the rest stops or parks along the way as they are really worth it.
I stayed here with my wife for 5 nights in mid-June. Very clean, new and comfy except for the pillows. We found them too hard and heavy. Well thought and convenient lay out/services. Well suited for travelers with kids. Thumb up for the free laundry. Location is not the best as of proximity to the highway and quite a distance to downtown. You can make it on your feet, but it will be a long walk. Definitely check out they restaurant as it was the best in town including fancy places on the shoreline we managed to book for dinner.
The breakfast!!! OMG, they serve the best breakfast buffet you can imagine. They have gigantic cinnamon rolls, croissant and fresh fruit and everything. It taste so much better since the view of the breakfast area is spectacular! You can look out to the beach while you enjoy the beautiful breakfast. Also we loved the private beach and the trails so much! I wish weather was milder so we could sit on the beach but just walking down the beach and looking at the ocean was more than enjoyable.
When we checked in they said they had given us the best room, and they weren't joking! The view is stunning. The room was comfortable and clean, why a coffee maker and fridge. A balcony overlooking the water is the perfect way to unwind, and the location was perfect for a short stroll to dinner or breakfast.
Staff were professional and friendly, even offering beach towels for our convenience.
This is a comfortable place to stay while exploring the greater Tofino area. The first night we enjoyed cookies by the fire. Yum! And then we went up to our room to open the window to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Quite magical! Rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and kind. Breakfast had quite the variety of baked goods, and we left full by the time we set off for the day.
Location is perfect, right on McKenzie Beach and a nice walking distance to Tofino. The kitchen amenities are just ok. We were lucky that our cabin had a nice unobstructed view of the ocean. Most cabins off the beach would only have a view of another cabin, unless you’re on the upper floor. Staff was amazing. The cabin was very clean, and they have fire pits to sit around!
Excellent location! Walking distance to everything in town, room was significantly larger than a usual hotel/motel in my opinion & the view of the harbour was beautiful.
I really enjoyed our stay, it’s a great motel / price point for Tofino. We had a pet friendly room and they had a towel, dog bowl and a treat in the room for us which is a sweet bonus!
Very well designed and maintained property. The setting is pure west coast. Indigenous art work in rooms and around property adds meaningful historical context. Excellent breakfast service in spacious & bright dinning area. Beds were very comfortable! Located on one of the best beaches in the Tofino area.
Maria is the perfect hostess - kind and responsive to my questions and needs, and went the extra mile for me! The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a B & B, and the location is perfect for direct access to the beach. Great to hear the waves at night!
Great location with a private terrace for guests after the closure of the shop, with one of the best views in Tofino! A real pleasure! John and his staff were really nice during our stay.
there is sauna and hottub outside in the forest, nice style of hotel, disco room. bikes. lounge area in the forest, kids play ground and more!!!!!!5*********
Cabins are really good, good size and clean. This beach is the best one in Tofino. Loved the wood fireplace, they provided wood. Overall stay was very good.
Best possible location. Really glad I booked here instead of other places that had caught my eye online. If location is the top priority this is the best.
