Easy access right off Highway 16. Wide streets if you want to take your time. I was there in February and it had been warm so the streets and sidewalks were icy. Found a great restaurant tuck away in the Wabamun hotel. Mountains for food for a very reasonable price. The people are friendly and helpful.

It is nice clean town with comfortable clean sand beach , kids playground on it, and water spray ground, nice lake for boating and kayaking. There is only one thing may bothers you if you are sleeping with the open window- trains , too many trains. Very loudly

The staff were helpful and courteous. I'm particularly happy that I could bring my dog and with the access to Wabamun Provincial Park. On the other side, my room card deactivated itself every day.

The town has improved over the past couple of years. It's more welcoming for tourists. Has great food within walking distance from motels. Shoreside Inn is clean and maintained very well, staff are wonderful. The National Park is a short drive and has a wonderful beachfront picnic area.

The town is on the northshore of the lake and trains go through almost hourly. I'm not big on the sound of trains rumbling through and sounding their horns. That's just me. Upon entering the townsite, a giant mosquito on a pedestal greets all the travellers. I was there in October, but the presence of this guy made we wonder what July and August are like.
