I booked an additional half board directly at the hotel. It was really delicious.

Modern (renovated) room in a traditional building, nicely furnished. The hotel itself though is a bit outdated. Excellent breakfast. If you require a wheelchair-accessible room, make sure you request one because the hotel only has 4 available. Due to an elevator being broken, we could not get to the room we originally booked, and got the suite instead :-) Very friendly staff.
The Hotel Schifffahrt can be found in Mols, right on Lake Walen, and offers you fully equipped rooms and great food. It is and ideal base for water sports and for skiing on the Flums mountains.

The hotel is easy to reach by public transport, the room was big enough for a family of 3, clean, they also added one more single bed as we requested, although we did not need it as we could all sleep on the big bed. The food at the restaurant was perfect and the buffet for breakfast had everything you expect to find on a breakfast.
The Berg & Bett Säntis Lodge is located at Unterwasser, between the famous Mountain " Säntis" on the north and the seven Churfirsten in the south.

There is a room for the skis and a nice cinema for the kids. The bedroom was very spacious with a nice Mountain View. There was a bathtub, which was very nice after a day skiing

The continental breakfast was more than adequate, with a good selection of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, jams, honey, choice of different breads. Good breakfast teas, coffees etc. fruit juices, mineral water etc.
Mine host, Roland Hofstetter, speaks good English and is very helpful and nothing seems too much trouble for him.

Alt Sankt Johann is just a small village, You must take the whole region (upper Toggenburg) as a whole. Fantastic scenery with views on the Churfirsten to the south and the Alpstein (Säntis) to the north. A paradise for walking and hiking with not too extreme montain hiking, and several cable cars that take away from you part of the effort of getting up. Recently, theme trails were added, like the sound trail - to be enjoyed before or after a visit to the "Klangschmiede" - Part smith shop where you can experience how cowbells are made (and make one yourself if you have time to take the course) part museum dedicated to the sound experience. Quite peculiar and interesting. And there are yodel courses too, just in case you want to get involved....
On a sunny day, take the funicular and then the cable car to the Chäserugg mountain. On the top there is a relatively flat 1 and a half to 2 hours walk on the high plateau around 2200 m of elevation (6700 ft) with breathtaking view on the Walensee lake just below your feet. From there you can do paragliding and daredevils with a wing suit can get some emotions too. Search for " Grinding The Crack" on Youtube and you get the idea. But walking and mountain biking can give you enough emotions too. Of course if you are looking for exciting night life you are not on the best spot. This is a region for nature lovers.

Very nice and friendly owners; the hotel is reasonably priced and located within a walking or short driving distance from the ski lifts (depending on whether you're skiing in Alt St. Johan or Wildhaus). There's no breakfast option in this hotel, but there's a supermarket close by and a little kitchen where you can make coffee/tea and eat your own breakfast. The beds are comfortable and rooms spacious (our double room was at least).
the hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the mountain on the slopes. you just need to go out, put your ski and enjoy. The hotel is not new but the quality of the beds are excellent. it is very clean and you can put your ski material in a room where they even heat the shoes. Breakfast is very good and food offertes during the day and night very good.
Beautiful Swiss hotel in a lovely small village. Very comfortable beds, good Wifi, excellent food, and very friendly and helpful staff. Family operated hotel located on edge of village with nice walking path back into town. Wonderful views of hillsides and mountains. Ski lift directly across road. Very quite and peaceful.
Really nice Swiss hotel and restaurant. The staff were very welcoming and didn't mind my son running around. There is even a play corner near reception. The family room with bunk beds is adequate, the large screen smart TV was good addition. Grocery store right next door was very convenient
