The old town and Arbon's waterfront are picturesque and lovely to walk about. The main road inland away from the old town was not pleasant for pedestrians as far too many vehicles use it and town is not pretty in this direction with car-oriented commercial establishments prevalent.

(not many other hotels have done this in Switzerland.) we were able to store our bikes in a secure place. lovely helpful staff and an excellent dinner and breakfast too. just what we needed and wanted after long bike trip.
