If you are travelling by train and have luggage, consider getting off at Bernina Diavolezza and getting the bus. I believe this is the recommendation for the winter when the path down to the station can be impassable due to snow, but I would recommend it anyway. I'm already planning to go back in the winter. The food is good and tasty.

Due to snowy conditions, we had to leave our car to lagalp station and the staff arranged a shuttle service to pick us up late in the evening. We are extremely thankful for this. The Ospizio's manager was so kind, picked up me in another station and transported us to the hotel. Very beautiful place. Good breakfast i will repeat
