The breakfast was located in another place. 5 minutes walk from the accommodation. However it was basic, the coffee was good and the staff was friendly.

We pre-booked 3 nights for an apartment in July 2022. It was around 6.30PM when we got to the location after connecting with a bus from Thun which took us to Gunten Dorf. The apartment is a very short and pleasant walk from the bus stop. Key box instructions were sent via email earlier and it was easy to do a self check-in. Apartment No.1 was on ground level so it was easy to bring the luggage in. We liked the kitchenette which was well equipped with a good size fridge and an electric kettle to make hot beverages. Nothing to complain about the rustic and serene location of Gunten set between the Swiss mountains and Lake Thun.

The exclusive Neuhaus Golf- & Strandhotel is Interlaken’s only hotel calmly situated right at the picturesque Lake Thun, right next to the Neuhaus Ship Pier. The centre of Interlaken is 5 km away.

Breakfast was very well presented. A good selection on offer. The breakfast areas were immaculate at all times. The staff team are a credit to your business. The view from the dinning room was outstanding.

From start to finish a fantastic experience. Check in was easy and quick and we were provided with complementary travel passes for the bus network. We'd booked an apartment and the first impression was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Both bedrooms opened onto a large private balcony with outdoor furniture and an amazing view over the lake at one side, the marina and town on another and mountains on the third. We then went down to the restaurant for dinner. To be honest we intended going somewhere different every night but the food was so good and reasonably priced (for Switzerland) that we ate there every night. Breakfast was impressive - there's continental and then there's breakfast here. The variety and quality was excellent. The staff are really good, at tentative, polite, welcoming and good humour - the perfect mix. It's perfectly placed - quiet in the evening when we were there but busy in the day. It's well connected, a 10-minute walk to the railway station with an hourly bus service if you want and next to the jetty for the lake cruises. We were only there for 3 nights but didn't want to leave - we will be back.
