Incredible location, and great combination of both forest and marine in one place. Beautiful tropical gardens on the property complete with macaws and monkeys, and great guided excursions into rainforest, mangrove, and marine habitats. You are staying in a jungle so be prepared re: bugs, temperature and humidity. As a solo traveller it was super welcoming and friendly, and you feel at home quite quickly. As well as the activities it was also great just to chill out around the gardens or by the beach, or to just take a kayak and explore.
The food was also amazing and a highlight for me, lots of fruit and veg grown on site, fresh fish if it was caught that day etc.
Casa Rolando Golfito is located 500 metres from Golfito Bay and 1 km from Golfito Nature Reserve. It features a furnished terrace with a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and sauna.

Very convenient for the ferry on arrival and for the bus to the border the next day. Breakfast was quite good, plentiful and included. Room 19 is attractive and has ocean views on 3 sides (the only room on the second floor); it's a smaller room but perfect for 1-2 people. It also has a large bathroom with an overhead shower. The second room we booked for the kids had less light but was spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast was in a box with a scrambled egg, bread, butter, rice with beans, a tiny juice and cookie that was then eaten in your room after picking up at front desk.

Nice location, close to the main street, clean pool, room set up was nice, beautiful new bathroom, was able to use fridge, had some trouble with the tv remote and owner was able to rectify the situation promptly.
