Sweet location just on the edge of town, we stayed one night as we did a bioluminescent tour from Paquera. I enjoyed the pool. The staff were lovely, especially the chef who made some great vegetarian food for me. He was really friendly and helpful.

I was very tired when I arrived and since the hostel wasn't very busy they upgraded my room for my best comfort. I didn't even ask them, but they were so kind to offer me a bigger, quieter room at no extra costs. The next day my onward travel turned out to be more complicated than expected using public transport, but the owner was so nice to take me to a better bus stop in another town. Very helpful indeed. This place is a heaven on Earth. The ultimate jungle experience in Costa Rica. I liked everything about it. It's as close to nature as you can get. The owners were absolutely amazing, everything was neat and outdoorsy. At night you can hear coyotes howling and you wake up in the morning with howling monkies call. There's a beach nearby where you can be totally on your own. There's a path through the jungle with lots of wildlife to see. The Paquera town is also close by so you can get your supplies if needed. I will definitely book again for a longer time when I travel to Costa Rica again.

This apartment was very centrally located with stores and restaurants within walking distance. Many beaches and activities were within a 15 minute drive. The apartment was very clean and included everything you need, the washing machine was a plus after spending a day at the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need to make delicious meals, including appliances. Fast WIFI, large flat screen TV with cable and streaming, air conditioning, great mattress, very up-to-date. The photos do not deceive you. The host was very nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the jungle tent for one night as we had arranged to do the Bioluminescence tour with Franco. The location is just perfect, it’s at the end of a long track and is surrounded by forest. The jungle tent was a really good size and it was a short walk to the showers and toilets. The wildlife around the tent was great, we saw a variety of birds, frogs, crabs and howler monkeys. We did the Bioluminescence tour in the evening which was excellent and a really good social with Franco, his assistant and another couple. Afterwards we returned and Franco and Wilma lit a fire for us and joined us for a drink. The reception we received was very warm and Franco and Wilma are lovely people and can’t do enough to help. In the morning we walked to the beach, the dogs joined us and showed us the way. This took around 20 minutes. The beach is wonderful, it’s large and empty. We saw red Macaw there. The visit felt very authentic and a bit of the touristy track which we enjoyed. I highly recommend it.
