Checking in was a real delight.

Checking in was a real delight. I was greeted with a chilled glass of champagne and a long-stemmed red rose. The food was delicious with a two page breakfast menu of made-to-order dishes. The staff was friendly and thought of everything providing world-class service. The Chateau was beautifully restored retaining its Romantic Period style and gallery concept of original art while combining Old World charm with 21st century amenities. My room was one of the largest I have ever had. Every detail was beautifully addressed. For example, every draw pull or knob had the Chateau's symbol, the Rose of Heralec! As a solo traveler, I immediately felt like I belonged because of the warm and friendly feeling at this family-owned castle hotel. I highly recommend it. On a scale of 1-10, this was an 11!
