During booking, I was a bit afraid of the dark pictures as well as some reviews complaining about the traffic noise. However, the rooms were very nicely renovated, also no noise from the traffic. Friendly owner. All the best!

Haus Appel and the Ahrtal Valley are an annual pilgrimage for my former academic colleagues and me. Following the floods last year, we were unsure what we find this year. While there is rebuilding for sure that continues, it was wonderful to find that the hospitality and graciousness of Haus Appel, the beauty and hiking in the valley and the excellent wine and food remain!

Very spacious room, nice bed and good seating area. Bathroom was a bit small but clean and good. Nice location to explore the Age valley. Breakfast is in the building across the street and is a good and extensive breakfast buffet. Free private parking was available behind the building. Staff was friendly and helpful

The staff was very welcoming and friendly towards me and my dog. The room was quiet and clean. The food at the hotel was great, both dinner and breakfast were very tasty. The price for the room itself was ok. The nearby village is quite relaxed and quiet. Makes for a great walk.
