During booking, I was a bit afraid of the dark pictures as well as some reviews complaining about the traffic noise.
However, the rooms were very nicely renovated, also no noise from the traffic.

Haus Appel and the Ahrtal Valley are an annual pilgrimage for my former academic colleagues and me. Following the floods last year, we were unsure what we find this year. While there is rebuilding for sure that continues, it was wonderful to find that the hospitality and graciousness of Haus Appel, the beauty and hiking in the valley and the excellent wine and food remain!

We loved the space and convenience of the house, kitchen, and garage. It was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Hosts were friendly, and communication was easy. The terrace was beautiful but we could not enjoy it due to raining days. We will certainly be back.
