The lady at the reception is super sweet, very very friendly, kind and joyful. And then is the cook of the Gasthof, very friendly man and the schnitzel sandwich he gave us as welcome was perfect because right after that we hit the mountains just before sunset. The breakfast is amazingly good (please don't miss their self-made marmelade, cake and yoghurt), and we also had the opportunity to meet another member of the staff who also was super friendly and kind. The place has a beautiful decoration and the room is spatious, clean, the place is very quiet, and the bed comfortable.

We had a wonderful time in this very nice and ccomfortable apartment. Landlady - Ms. Heike Wannemacher was very nice, communicative and with positive energy:)! This apartment is located few kilometers from Ga-Pa so, for skiing you have to use a car, but on the other hand it is quiet place with beautiful surroundings. Big advantage is italian restaurant at the first floor. Once, when the restaurant was fully ocupied, Chef brought order to our apartment!!! Free public parking was in front of the building.

Farchant is a great stay if you want to be out of the busyness of Garmisch-Partenkirchen but not too far away to be a moment away. Great local food and welcoming people, have been coming here for years and plan to return.
The atlas hotel has a great restaurant with lots of choice and it’s easy to get to with the train station from Munich or Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Farchant is a gorgeous little village, really pleasant to walk around, with stunning scenery. Loads of local small businesses, pleasant square in front of the town hall, fantastic public transport to Garmisch , Oberammergau and Munich. The restaurant’s were also good. The Italian in the middle was a great price and really bust, we were lucky to get in as most tables were reserved. Bank has a cash point, there’s bakery (open early morning), pharmacy, ice cream parlour, shop, and various places to eat.
One thing you must know - there are NO shops open on Sundays. There are vending machines in different places to buy local products such as milk, eggs, meat and cheese, but if you’re arriving late Saturday, or Sunday, bring some food with you.
We ran out of time to try the pool and the local mountain walks, but the churches are lovely, the local historic walk is nice and it is so so quiet. A real rural idle but with great connections!
The local tourist card is also really useful, we more than got our moneys worth just using the buses!

My goal was to hike the Reichtal trail to the Zugspitze.
My goal was to hike the Reichtal trail to the Zugspitze. The starting point is not very well documented so I ended up missing the start time and hike other routes. There are wonderful routes to hike, but not quite the same.

Great little town and in a great location for local activities. We were near everything we wanted to do over the weekend. It was a quick drive to Eibsee, Partnachklamm Gorge, Ettal Abbey and the Alpine coaster. Wonderful restaurants in town also!
I have never given a hotel full 10 points and I have stayed in quite a few.
There is a nice little bar downstairs where you can buy little snacks and drinks.
Everything was new and clean. Very nice atmosphere all together with the beautiful mountains surrounding. The whole personnel were very very nice and helpful.
If I am in the area again, I will definitely choose this hotel again without a question.
- The location at the outskirts of Farchant is great with good parking in front of the house. A supermarket is in walking distance (800m) and you're quickly on the road either North or South
- We also loved the large South-facing balcony
- The kitchen is well equipped and very modern - we had all we need to prepare our meals
- Beautiful bath with huge shower
- Large Smart-TV with Netflix
- Good WIFI
The apartment is very nice and clean with everything needed for the comfortable stay. A terrace overlooking the mountains makes it very cozy. The pizza restaurant nextdoor is also a nice bonus, delicious food can be ordered directly to the apartment and it is delivered very quickly. Farchant is a charming town very close to wonderful hiking trails. We would certainly recommend this place for the stay.
We absolutely loved this place! Micha and Manuela were the sweetest people! The welcomed is with a smile, even when we returned drenched from our bike ride and were caught in a heavy rain.
Micha brought us cake when we arrived and also snacks at night. The breakfast was your traditional Bavarian breakfast, and the hotel felt like a family environment.
I wish we had reserved for longer.
Located in the lovely town of Farchant, this little B&B offers access to some great hiking trails and Garmisch (which is less than 10 minutes away). The room felt authentic to the region, the price was decent, and overall the stay was comfortable. Parking was easy, breakfast was good enough for light breakfast eaters like my partner and me, and the neighborhood was lovely and safe.
The purpose of our stay at the hotel was simply to spend night. However thanks to cosy atmosphere and hospitality of the staff we were happy to spend there more time than we've planned. Additionally we would like to thank for amazing food and service at the hotel's Italian restaurant 'Da Giovanni' (strongly recommend to visit). Summing up, You've made our short trip even better!
The hotel is brand new and location is great in the middle of the mountains. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a modern design. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the facilities in the hotel, especially the sauna and the steam bath. Overall great experience.
The actual apartment itself is very nice. As shown in the pictures - and the view really is amazing! Farchant is also such a cute little town that is very central to all the surrounding areas. Very nice.
Fantastic breakfast. The hotel is neat, clean, and gemuetlich. What lovely views of the Zugspitzland from the windows! We have stayed here twice now, and will certainly return.
the room is clean and the hotel is very beautiful the breakfast is very good. Luckily, there was snow and my kids were enjoyed around the hotel. The host is very kind.
