The family-run Hotel Zwergschlösschen is situated in the Untermhaus district of Gera, next to the forest. All rooms have lovely views of the Weiße Elster River.

Clean, spacious room (family room). Bed: comfortable mattress, large bed Bedroom 1: perfect lighting, USB port at each side of the bed. Bedroom 2 (not used): I noticed the childproof plugs in the electrical sockets. Both bedrooms have a TV. Bathroom: good quality equipment, enough hooks for the towels at a convenient distance from the shower. The shower door closed tightly, no spilling on the floor. Entrance: space for a medium sized suitcase and loads of wardrobe space. Slippers in the wardrobe. Note: it looks as if the hotel was refurbished recently, everything is new. Restaurant: lovely food, I tried the vegan burger with sweet potato fries. Good regional wine selection. Might be a bit pricey for those who would like to eat on the cheap, but IMO the prices are correct for what is served. Breakfast: good selection, cappucino is served on request. They also served vegan cheese and have soy milk as alternative. Staff: friendly, competent, whether at the reception, in the restaurant or in the breakfast room. Coffee and tea, kettle, etc. in the room. The hotel is on a road, but the cars did not bother me (am a light sleeper). They provide ear plugs.

This hotel offers modern and comfortable accommodation in Gera city centre, less than 600 metres away from the Otto-Dix-Haus art museum and the main railway station.

Perfect location, next to Orangerie in Gere. There was no problem to find the hotel (mainly thanks to the navigation). Very polite and helpful staff. The underground parking also was really appreciated. Excellent breakfast in the nice restaurant. I can recommend this hotel for one night and longer stays, as town is worth to be visited. I will come back soon ;-)

Wish had more time to live in that place. Very comfortable, everything was what needed, warm, clean, comfortable beds. The pics are from the same place. Owner was very helpful.
