Communication was clear and polite.
The system for checkin is easy to work with if you arrive at odd hours, so that takes away any pressure of needing to arrive at a certain time.

Great transport into Dortmund for 6€ on the train. In Dortmund you can then travel further afield with ease! Herdecke itself is a wonderful town with such character. A wonderful river setting and great restaurants and bars! Fabulous feel!

Hotel placed directly in the heart of historical town of...
Hotel placed directly in the heart of historical town of Herdece on the pedestrin zone. Such lovely position has it's disadvantage which is parking. Hotel was reasonable for the price. Relaxing zone along the the river Rurh is very close and cycling road also.

The room was spacious with a nice balcony with view on the river that floats nearby the hotel garden. The hotelgarden has a German style beer garden (Biergarten) with a bar which also can provides snacks on order. The personel was very kind and friendly. Hotel itself has a very local feel and look, very nice. The location and surroundings (as seen from the car) in the spring season seem lovely also. Parking at the hotel was fine, but depended a bit on the parking skills of other guests, which were lacking during my stay.
