Our main activity in Germany is shopping.
Our main activity in Germany is shopping. Since many of the individual shops gave gone in favour of chains in Palais Vest we no longer spend much time in Recklinghausen centre. We used to do 2 or 3 visits per trip. Barbara's shop is a newly found treasure trove and we did return there a couple if times, but not any other shops in the centre.

Room had super king bed and tv and toiletries in bathroom. Family run makes a difference. They let me check in early ! Home cooked food in the restaurant and cosy beer garden out front. And the price was a bargain. What a find.

There is no parking yet (probably, will be in the future). Large construction site in the area, so some of the construction workers lived on the same floor as us and they were not particularly quiet.

The rooms were also not as small as one would expect from an older hotel. Also the breakfast has many different options (vegan as well) to make you feel full.
