Great location to stop. I was travelling between Luxembourg and Hamburg. The rooms were large, modern, super clean and very quiet.They had a very nice food and drinks menu, service and food both excellent.Can't fault this place, would highly recommend if you in the area and you want a pleasant restful stay.

The owner responded quickly to the questions I had. The apartment is located in the attic of a monumental house. The apartment has a cozy appearance and is equipped with many amenities. Naturally for a German accommodation, it is spotlessly clean. There is ample parking in front of the door and the city is easily accessible. The major cities are within easy reach and yet the area has plenty of nature and sights to see.

I've booked this hotel for 5 nights initially .
I've booked this hotel for 5 nights initially . Because of some unexcpected circumstances I had to leave one day before and asked reception not to charge last day . The answer was NO with explanation "that was the tariff " what was not truth cause I've booked a "pay at hotel " meaning not a cheaper tariff . Room cleaning was very bad . For my 4 nights stay in total , maid never washed up cups for tea/coffee and never refil coffee as well . Breakfast was very poor and uniform ( no crambled eggs ) . In general , very unpleasant stay !

We drove with GPS and passed the entrance because the signage was quite modest, but we managed to turn around and get into the hotel. No one from the staff was helpful with our luggage before we had checked in. We are old and therefore wished for a low floor room if there was no lift. We were placed on the 2nd floor without a lift. The room was large and nice in Jugendstil, which was reflected in the entire hotel. The restaurant had an "event" where you could help yourself to food in various places, including the kitchen. We received very good help from the young receptionist who served us a bit of everything from the large selection. As we are 86 and 84, it suited us perfectly. The food was of high quality and we enjoyed ourselves. After a good night, we were served a delicious breakfast before the trip continued.

If you like hiking you should consider visiting Remscheid. Try the „Röntgen Wanderweg“ or other hiking paths. They are well marked and really great. You should consider staying in Remscheid Lennep, which has a nice center/market place and there are a number of nice hotels to choose from.

The hotel is right next to a very busy road, but you don't hear anything. The hotel looks like it was built yesterday.
