Very friendly staff, Mladen was very, very helpful and did an amazing job helping me to organize balloons and flowers (that I ordered from a garden store) for my partner, and the extra things they did to our room to make it more special! He made our stay fantastic 11/10! The breakfast was also delicious! Room was very clean, location for us was perfect (at a train station but wasn’t too loud). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you Mladen and the Coucou team!

The guesthouse is modern, with professionally made bathrooms and good quality furniture. We stayed with a child and she got her own bed for free. Our matras had a plastic cover on it (probably for hygienic purposes) that made the same sound as a toy we have for our child, so we had te remove them otherwise she couldn't sleep. This was a bit unfortunate, but not a problem. They also have a laundry service which we were happy to use, because the laundry service in town is too difficult (you will understand when you look it up).
The personell is very friendly, also to non-german speaking people. Everyone greets you with a friendly smile and they accept special requests without trouble, such as an extra egg at breakfast.
Finally, the location of the guesthouse is very nice. The town is beautiful. Much better to stay than Titisee. The train station is on a 10 minutes walk, the supermarket, drugstore and many good restaurants are within 5 minutes. The park next to the church is large enough for a good stroll and well-made with nice walking paths and a creek in the middle.
Situated in a quaint town of Titisee Neustadt by the Black Forest, Hotel zum Löwen offers free WiFi access and free bike rental for hotel guests.

Wonderfully friendly and warm atmosphere, we were made to feel truly welcome. I would like to say it was like staying with my family, but my family are not that nice!!!
Well at least, my family do not cook as well. Breakfast and evening meals were always excellent and we highly recommend taking the half-board option as the food excels expectations.
We are going back again, soon.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious. There was a separate room for storage, and that was awesome. The rates were reasonable for a property right next to the railway station and just 5 mins walk from Titisee.

Perhaps dependent upon good weather (which we had): the views and facilities in the area are superb. Good roads, everywhere looks so clean. There are large numbers of mobile homes/caravans/campervans in the area and we can imagine the location would be very busy in the main season (we visited for two nights in early Sep 23).

Titise is a very popular town on a beautiful lake on the edge of the Black Forest. Take the boat trip around the lake, or put the family into paddle boats etc. Walk the trail that goes around the lake. Warning: cafes and restaurants all close early - don’t expect to dine after 7 or 8 pm.

The walking in the area is really great, and quite varied.
The walking in the area is really great, and quite varied. Paths are very easy to navigate and we only used a map and some common sense for an 18km hike.
Titisee in Winter is pretty, but very quiet, so lovely if you want a peaceful holiday. No night life, which suited us and a little sparse for food options. The lake is beautiful.
Our hotel was great, Wifi at the hotel was excellent, food was very good, and tourist info, trains and maps all excellent.

Charming village with nice lake.
Charming village with nice lake. Hospitality is a nearly unknown quality in Titisee. All bars and restaurants closed at 6 o`clock on the Friday night, with one or two exceptions. Potential guests were just turned away en mass. We felt ashamed to be sitting down and eating because we happened to walk into a restaurant just before 6 by chance. An unpleasant situation.

Nice little town by the lake.
Nice little town by the lake. Nice to walk around or do some hiking and also close to a great SPA (BadenParadise). Via car or local bus you can also reach the ski resort of Feldberg (approx 10 min away). As many other little villages in Germany, shops close around 5:30 pm and then only restaurants are open. This is a bit of a pity as it takes away a bit of the livelyhood brought by turists.

Friendly welcome, and it's right across the road from Badeparadies. If you go to the adults-only spa area, this means you can have a few drinks in the swimming pool, and just need to cross the road to get back home... it's perfect !
The apartment is beautiful, like a home away from home, with a small balcony and beautiful posh bathroom.
The main town is a pleasant 10 minute walk away, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
And there's a great Edeka supermarket 5 minutes drive away.
The room was spacious and comfortable. In fact, I got a suite with a bedroom and a smaller living/TV rooe plus a balcony, which were very pleasant as an ensemble. My room was at the backside of the house which was very quiet. Staff was very helpful, friendly and competent. The location of the hotel was excellent, a short walk from both the town centre, Titisee lake and the train station. The bar was very well stocked and the seating area there very comfortable.
Out of town, this accommodation is, I guess in a busy skiing resort. The room was large and clean. The host spoke a little English. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice.
The hotel if about 15 minutes from the B500 Black Forest route.
Large & well-divided space with a good view, great location in the Hochschwalzwald region, you can use all services in nearby hotel: great breakfast buffet with various warm plates can be ordered at table, small pool & sauna etc.
Apartment was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was spacious. Amazing backyard for kids to play. Kitchen well equipped. Left us some games for kids. Staff was very kind and helpful. Offer laundry services. 10 mins walk to the lake.
The position was good to go Skiing in Feldberg. The room was clean and it had enough space to store our luggage. The bathroom was quite new. We did a late check, very easily. The hotel had a free parking space in the back.
The hotel was beautiful and situated perfectly with walking distance to the lake and right on top of the train station. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food provided at the restaurant was very tasty.
Was concerned after booking as after some digging found some bad reviews on this hotel but very happy to say that this hotel has undergone a refurbishment (and name change) and we enjoyed a very nice night there.
The view of the lake was great. The breakfast was good with a menu to order hot food in addition to the bar. The hotel left a morning snack (bread with an apple and a pear) at our door.
The room was spacious with a couch and a giant king bed. Location is excellent, right by the lake. The staff will give you a Konus card if you ask, which is a plus.
Nice location, 8 min driving distance from Titisee.
The hotel is a bit outdated, but the room is really big and cozy, with great view, bathtub and big balcony.
