We were passing through, had to leave very early and would not be able to have breakfast at the hotel because of this. Asked if we could possibly have breakfast earlier or take it with us and it was no problem at all. They prepared breakfast for us! What a top service!

It was the third time we stayed in the Burghotel Scharfenstein. We love the location - it's so quiet and close to a forest, so you can go for a nice walk. Rooms are cosy and very comfortable. And the food is great - both in the restaurant and the breakfast.

The room was very comfortable and clean, we only stayed one night tho. The Therme and the pools had a wonderful architecture and cleanliness. My personal favourites were the steam bad rooms. I definitely recommend this hotel to have a very relaxing stay.

After a long drive staying at this pension in rural Germany is well worth the short detour from the motorway. The location is quiet and exactly what is required for a good night's sleep. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast next morning ( 10 euro per person) excellent. It set us up for another long day on the road. We were there in November and not in tourist mode but I expect at other times of year this would be a good base to explore the region.
