Alburquerque Spain is the sister-city of our home town.

Alburquerque Spain is the sister-city of our home town. We mentioned this to one of the tourism officials in the office at the corner of the Plaza España, and he took us into City Hall to show us the amazing fresco, completed and dedicated a few years back in honor of our sister-city status. The Imposing Luna Castle is impressive and well worth a trip to see the best preserved medieval castle in all of Spain. Just one word of advice: make your trip on a weekend, since most of the establishments on Plaza España only have dinner service on weekends. If you are staying mid-week, rent a vacation home with a good kitchen like we did.
