We loved the landscape, tranquility, home feeling. We slept well. Our dog loved it. If you love nature and you want to be far away from the crowd, this is the place.

Gaucin is a charming picturesque white village dramatically perched on top of a hill with a medieval castle. It is one of many villages in the area that will take your breath away. The area is famous for its scenic beauty and numerous hikes. There is a very good choice of restaurants in the village, some of them Michelin rated. The historic town of Ronda is within easy driving distance.

An Andulican gem with the most breathtaking views we have ever seen! Retains its Spanish integrity and offers a wonderful gastronomic quality. There is an underlying sophistication to Gaucin! Situated within Europe's largest forest and only half an hour from the coast we didn't know places like this could exist.

Gaucin is a lovely unspoilt village in the hills approx 30 k from the coast near Estapona. It's a relaxing place to wander and chill - but as it built on hillside there are some steep climbs which may not suit everyone. A number of bars and restaurants. Our favourite is El Attico - great food and run by a lovely friendly couple, Lisa and Richard. Only 45 minute drive to Ronda for a day out or a little less down to the coast. If you like wildlife watching Gaucin is a Mecca with Griffon vultures and Booted Eagles flying overhead from the nearby nesting sites. This was our 10th visit so something keeps bringing us back!

Gaucin is a very small mountain side village.
Gaucin is a very small mountain side village. Unless you plan to do day trips from there to other locations, or simply relax and ready a book, etc, there isn't alot to do there. We walked through the village and up to the castle remains and church on the hill; and lunch down the road in another village. We found that one night would have been suffice.
Amazing views, and it was extremely quiet, which was a breath of fresh air in Spain after experiencing very noisy hotels. The lady who runs the hotel is wonderful and helped me so much, upon booking I realised that the train station was quite a distance away and she help me find a local person who came to collect me from the train station. She spent quite a lot of time doing this and it was much appreciated by me, she really went over and above.
This is a gorgeously renovated house with beautiful rooms. Our bathroom even had a bath! As we were there in the low season, we were unable to try the breakfast or the restaurant. The beds were especially comfortable and the quality and quantity of the bedding was just right. There is a shared sitting room with books and games which was equally beautifully decorated. A perfect hotel.
Stunning views from a spacious sun drenched terrace
Open both sides patio doors for cooling breezes to sweep through the rooms
Apartment is beautifully furnished.
Gaucin is a beautiful Spanish hill village with a good selection of excellent bars and restaurants within 10 mins walk of the apartment
Out of all the hotels we stayed in on our 30 day trip, this was the best room. Soft comfy bed, crisp white bed linen, gorgeous breakfast , super friendly hosts but the best thing ever was an infinity pool with amazing views just outside our bedroom door. Totally amazing
Perfect location in the centre of Gaucin and very well decorated with amazing views. Plenty of methods to heat up the rooms with the aircon units and radiators. Bed was very comfortable with three layers of duvet.
Lovely townhouse, in a lovely location in the centre of Gaucín. Very spacious, great views from different verandahs, comfortable and cosy. Well looked after by host.
