The location was brilliant, right next door to the monastery - you could hear the bells during the day, but these stopped at 11pm! It was also very close (150m) to the town centre, shops and a selection of restaurants.
There are 4 apartments of different sizes around a shady central courtyard with a big walnut tree in the middle and swimming pool - which was lovely.
The owner greeted us with lots of helpful information and left some locally produced treats for us.
The apartment we stayed in (Salvia) had been very thoughtfully designed and equipped and was beautifully furnished. There were even bins for recycling under the sink.

Guadalupe is a good stop on the way south to Cordoba and Andalucia. Off the beaten track enough to be free of too much traffic although the Black Virgin and the Cathedral attract a lot of visitors. Around the square in front of the Cathedral are many bars, restaurants and little shops. A great place for a coffee and doing some sketching. If staying for a few days you can visit Monfrague and walk in the Sierra de Guadalupe. This is the original of all the Guadalupes around the world.

Guadalupe is a small charming village very much off the beaten track. If like me you are limited in mobility I would advise that you take into account the cobbled nature of the roads & rough flagged sidewalks. And the very steep gradients , cobbled again over which you will have to travel.

If you just want a short relaxing break, then it's good for that. There are half a dozen bars/restaurants around the main square where you can sit and watch the world pass by. The village itself is set in surrounded by beautiful countryside and there are some magnificent views. Nothing earth shattering, but worth a visit.

Enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed our stay. Was given the same room as we had in our first visit which was a nice touch. Very historic building and should have had music that suited the building. Evening menu not as good as first time but enjoyable. Very old streets nearby for a stroll and monastery next door.
Excellent value for money. Excellent location. A spectacular view over Guadeloupe. The hosts, Francisco and Guadalupe, came to welcome us personally, showed us around the property, offered us eggs and gave us a taste of Guadalupe's typical liqueur, Gloria. We definitely recommend this place. The owners are very kind and the place is looked after with a lot of love and care.
everything was of the highest standard - toiletries in bathroom were 5 star - traditional furniture in room - comfortable bed - helpful and friendly staff. Quiet location but close to monastery and main square. we had a tiny balcony overlooking mountains - just room for two to sit snd relax. It seemed on level
of a 5 star hotel.
Our lofty room had a balcony looking across the pool garden to the towers of the famous monastery. Dinner in the garden was exceptionally nice. The pool was dreamy. The other hotel guests seemed like very nice, interesting people, quiet and thoughtful We fantasized about living here.
ll but very nice place to stay right in the heart of Guadalupe. The venison steak in the restaurant was beautiful. Being on the square in front of the Cathedral meant that there was lots to see. The lock-up garage up a side street was handy for the bikes.
Fantastic parador in an excellent location. Parador is very close to bars and restaurants. Guadalupe is a beautiful small town. Very clean accommodation. Rooms were perfect. Beautiful swimming pool with wonderful views. Friendly, helpful staff.
In the old centre, near the Monastery. Parking space is about 500 metres walk. Close to the Plaza with lots of restaurants. Had lunch in the restaurant of the hotel Altamira and the food was very good! Even discount for hotelguests!
Great Location, 100 yards from the Monastery. Comfortable room and beds. A meal in the quiet courtyard was most enjoyable. Excellent cuisine. Beautiful garden to stroll in. Secure parking within hotel.
Really nice house, perfect for large families, away from Guadalupe but very near by car, and with an amazing view from the amazing balcony. The owner was very welcoming
We loved the experience to sleep in a monastery. Very large rooms, comfortable beds. Good breafast that you can take on the beatiful courtyard of the hotel.
