The property was located in a quiet neighbourhood with off street parking behind electronic gates. Train station was a short downhill walk away with excellent connections direct into Barcelona in 20 minutes. Very Clean and the owners were extremely helpful even when we arrived ahead of schedule.

El Masnou is easily reached by public transport from Barcelona (R1 train). The beach is beautiful and clean and so is the water. There are a few beach bars as well on the beach which is an added bonus if you fancy a coffee or a drink in the evening. El Masnou has a lovely old town which is worth walking around. Some very good restaurants, nice walks along the seafront especially to Premia De Mar. Not too "touristy" but although not much English spoken that's not a bad thing, makes one learn at least a little Spanish. A few areas a little rundown but the new centre with new apartments, a nice playground and some new shops is very nice. The main criticism I have is there is still too much dog's faeces on the pavements and the restaurants could open a little earlier in the evenings. A very quiet seaside town during the week, but with a lot people on the weekend. Nothing special to visit, but Barcelona is really close and you don't need the car, the train run every 10 minutes. You can eat well enough anywhere and it is pleasant to stay the evening at the "chiringuito" or walking at the harbor or the promenade. We shall return again convenient to the city but the quite of the Spanish town. Wonderful We visited the local market for supplies mostly liquid but fruit the prices we exceptionally cheap. Cheese wine lovely. The train was so close to visit the city, airport and circuit for the bike racing.

Masnou is a little cosy town with all the facilities you need to live there comfortably (shops, cafes, restaurants, beach, train station, children playgrounds). There is aqua park Illa Fantasia nearby. You can reach Barcelona centre with the train in 30 min.

Vincent made sure I knew exactly how to get from the airport to hotel and gave me different options for transport even with a late check in. Marcia helped me many times to find my way about the city. The room was lovely and opened up right at the pool and spotlessly clean. I had a a great sleep every night and the breakfast was lovely every morning with a different selection every day. one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in most definitely!
