We booked a double room but got a triple room, so that was nice. There seemed to be families living in the area.

The young man on the reception desk is exceptional. Gave us advice re historical sights and places to eat. We needed a work room and he organised that. Just fabulous. Room spacious and immaculate. Breakfast offered broad range of choice. Hotel is ideally located. We will stay here again. Highly recommended.

I recently journeyed on the Camino de Santiago in Spain and had a largely positive experience. The affordability of the accommodations was a major plus, making the pilgrimage more accessible. Additionally, the cleanliness of the facilities stood out, ensuring a comfortable stay after long days of walking. The provision of blankets and breakfast was particularly appreciated, adding comfort and convenience to my stay. Furthermore, the staff’s service was exceptional—always friendly and eager to help. However, there was a minor issue with the plumbing; the drainage in the bathroom was slightly clogged, resulting in standing water during showers. Addressing this would definitely enhance the experience for future pilgrims.

The windows were broken, a lot of traffic noise, the room was dark, no individual lights. One of us paid twice, cash. I paid on my credit card for all of us. One person paid twice. There was nobody to complain about it. So we were left with an answer. The number I tried, from the albergue, to call didn’t have whatspp, so I left a message, and we got away.

The location of the accommodation was down an alley with pubs and restaurants which added to the ambience. I enjoyed having a patio off my room even though it was cold and slightly wet . It was easy to locate the Camino path from the accommodation.

While we stayed in Furelos, we were a short walk to Melide.
While we stayed in Furelos, we were a short walk to Melide. We loved the food especially the octopus at Garnacha. Additionally, we enjoyed visiting St. Anthony Chapel. There are many stores should you need to pickup supplies on your Camino route.
The people working at the hotel were amazingly nice. We went to the bar/restaurant for pre dinner cocktails, ordered a delicious cheese platter and had a nice conversation with the bartender. There were not many people when we had drinks so we went out for dinner. Upon our return, the restaurant was alive with people so we regretted not staying and eating there. It’s an easy straight shot to getting back on the Camino.
The air conditioning worked fabulously (in a heatwave situation, having air conditioning is vital).
Fernando is a wonderful host, he’s laid back and enjoys spending time with guests. he’s done an amazing job updating this building, very modern touches while preserving the history. it’s outside of Melide in the countryside, 2km walk to town. right along the Camino. they provided a crib and high chair for our baby. we didn’t use the pool but it looked beautiful and well kept. all the staff were very friendly and helpful. thanks for having us! highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful Casa Rural! The decor is lovely and celebrates the area and culture. The room was large; plenty of space for Pilgrims to spread out. Great bathroom and shower. Dinner was excellent. Sadly it was a little chilly so we could not fully enjoy the outside "beer garden" or the rest of the gardens. Located between Palas de Rei and Melide so perfect for off-stage Pilgrims. A bit of a "splurge" but worth it.
the best place on the Camino. Maria and Luis has created a truly wonderful place. it is a small place only three rooms. they pamper their guests and delivers a service you do not find in most 5 star hotels. the food for dinner and breakfast is amazing Maria cook bake and make most of the food from scratch. 😋 keep up the good work. you have earned all the good reviews. we would love to come back and stay
If you are on the Camino stay here - do not go into Melide (another 1km farther). This was maybe the nicest place we stayed at on the Camino and the price was worth it. The owner, Maria, treated us like family. The breakfast was wonderful and you won't need lunch after eating breakfast! Get dinner early since Furelos doesn't have a lot of restaurants.
We loved this property, it is. beautiful with a great pool. The water was very cold but it felt so soothing on our tired limbs. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were amazing. The staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location in the old part of town and close to the Comino.
The hospitaleiro of this place did all he could to make us feel at home. The facilities were as expected, basic kitchen, nice dining area, comfortable beds and nice space in the dorm. The location in Melide was excellent - right in the middle of everything, and right on the Camino.
Oh my goodness this place is an absolute gem. A little touch of luxury at a very affordable price. Just steps away from the camino and within very easy reach of the town so not too far for weary feet to find a place to eat. Ana was so helpful too.
I highly recommend this hotel.
This Pension is very modern and comfortable. My room had a little balcony that gave me a nice peek at the wine zone action in Melide, with dozens of bars to eat tapas and drink awesome wine within footsteps of the pension. The hotel was also very close to the Camino way.
Perfect stay in Melide. Suso is very helpful and attentive to his guests. Nice, clean and comfortable room. Good location to arrive from and continue the camino. And practical that the bread for breakfast got delivered at 6h30 in the morning.
This was a clean, comfortable, friendly albergue. The shared room was spacious, bright room with a shared bathroom. The owner and staff were friendly. It is located on a quiet street, so there was no noise at night, a plus in Spain.
Location superb - very central. Brand new hotel which is very clean. Onsite parking (chargeable) which was very useful.
Front rooms have floor to ceiling windows that overlook the park. Very comfortable.
Such an amazing stay. You could holiday there. The food delicious and at any time of day.
The rooms were spotless and so comfortable.
For facilities best hotel on camino
This is a new hotel and therefore had nice rooms and bathrooms. There is even a pool. Great location. Friendly staff. There is also a small restaurant onsite.
