It is very central to a lot of locations should you want a base to travel from. The town has good shops and a variety of restaurants and is good value for money. We walked to torre de La horadada and had many lovely meals in the square in the evenings.

We love it here as we have come here for 15 years, it feels like home. There are fabulous restaurants & the beaches are gorgeous. It is not your normal tourist destination but you won’t be disappointed with the Spanish life. Great for cycling. La Manga is not far & we love to go to Cartegena as well.

This is a bedroom community, filled with just vacationers from Spain, England and a few more. Rows of empty houses in the winter, but pleasant walkways and a good supermarket. The beach is far and in between but the views are stunning. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years now & I still love it. They are still building around various areas. There are lovely restaurants nearby. El Gallego has to be my favourite. The best fish & fillet steak you will ever eat. We like to use it for our base as we cycle & take our bikes with us on holiday. It is great to see the surrounding areas. Lo monte Hotel is a spotlessly clean hotel and even though it says 1 star - it is ideal for a stay. The gent who checked us in was lovely and insisted on seeing us to our room, it had everything we needed. We only found out afterwards that the cafeteria where we had breakfast which we were disappointed in is run by a different company - we will have no problem staying in the lo monte hotel again

They've managed to create a unique atmosphere in a highway placed hotel, I've never expected anything live this! Rooms are clean and tidy, ours had a mini fridge. The staff was exceptionally friendly - the 1l beer they gave us at midnight +30° Celsius was a life saver! Parking is right next to the hotel + they also have backyard parking spots
